So much better than Enfamil

We got this to replace the Enfamil D-Vi-Sol product that is the standard you get at a pharmacy and it is perfect. The Enfamil stuff is junk, just read the ingredient list and ask yourself why a newborn cares what color it is, what flavor it has and why the number one ingredient is glycerol, basically fake sugar. Now the Ddops just has one thing other than the vitamin D, it uses refined coconut oil as the solution to put the vitamin in instead of glycerol. Nothing else, no fake color or flavoring, no ploysorbate 80 whatever that is, just coconut oil and Vitamin D. And you just need one drop, not a huge eye dropper full to the brim. And for the size of the bottle, yes it does not come full. If it did you would have a several year supply! Remember the dose is one drop, not one ml like the others. The packaging in several places states that this should not be full and just the bottom 1/4 or so should be, so as long as it is sealed you did not get a dud. And finally, if you are looking at this you are most likely doing it because you just want the vitamin, not the extra junk that just makes it look like you are giving a full dose, give this product a try

Flavorless and good dispenser

Ordered Ddrops and Upspring drops since they appeared to be basically the same (fractionated coconut oil is the only ingredient besides vitamin D) and Upspring was less expensive. I'll be buying the Ddrops from now one for the dispenser alone. Both really were flavorless (I tasted), neither caused any gastric disturbance for my baby, but Ddrops was far easier to dispense (and let's face it, none are easy - picture coordinating a squirming, hungry baby and drop rolling - you've got about 10 seconds). I expected Ddrops to have a dropper because of other reviews, but you just turn the bottle upside down and wait for the drop. Upspring was similar, but it's hard to get a full drop and it didn't drip well from the bottle. Ddrops is much better

Easy to use — half empty by design.

I've used this product with each of my other children (now 7, 5, and 3), so to me, it was a no brainer to purchase it again for my newborn. However, I was a little weary after reading the reviews about mold, expiration dates, and the bottle being half empty. But, administering a single drop vs trying to get a little one to take a full dropper is what led me to purchase this again, in spite of the reviews. After opening the package, I was pleased to see the expiration date was well in to 2022. I checked to make sure the bottle was sealed and then I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the bottle really was half empty! I took pictures to document this and was getting to write a complaint, but then I read the instructional guide, which explains why the bottle appears to be only 1/4 full. So, for those who are/were concerned like me, hopefully this gives you some relief and an explanation

Good drops, just wish dropper was better

I used these drops with my oldest child and now with my youngest. I just place one drop on my nipple before breastfeeding once a day. You could also put a drop in a bottle or mix with baby food. Neither child seems to mind the taste. One bottle will last along time, almost a year. My only complaint is that it sometimes takes a while for the drop to come out, which can be a little frustrating when you have a really hungry baby who does not want to wait a few seconds before he can eat. The bottle has a cap on the top that acts as a dropper, so you just have to turn the bottle upside down and wait for the drop to come out. In general, waiting a few seconds is not that big of a deal. I would still recommend these vitamin drops

Making mom's life easier!

I was given a sample of these from my pediatrician for my son and they are amazing! I had to reread the instructions because I was shocked that he only needed a drop per day. With my first born it was a dropper full everyday (different brand) and it was difficult because she wouldn't take a bottle and it was too oily and made her gag and puke. With this product I've had no issues. I put a drop on my finger and stick it in his mouth...there is no struggle whatsoever. I would highly recommend this product to anyone needing to give vitamin d to a baby

Easy to Use and Not Harmful

We've had no issues with this. R is one year old and is huge, healthy and strong, but that's mainly due to the BFeeding. Though likely a combo of both. Started using this at Ped's suggestion at about 2 months. Don't believe the HCL claims of it being dangerous. Not to be insulting, but to try and fully explain WHY it is not dangerous, I would virtually have to cram a college education into this little box. Suffice it to say that there is oxygen and hydrogen in rocket fuel. A highly volatile substance. However you drink the same two ingredients, in another mixture, everyday. Hence, though rocket fuel and water include two of the exact ingredients, they're not the same (Think ions and isotopes). Also, the dropper is not a problem as some claim. And actually, the dropper is probably the best part! The other brands require A LOT of liquid for a dosage (syringes). Yes, this product does take about two seconds to form the drip. BUT it is virtually controlled and there is only ONE drop to administer to your baby, as directions state. In terms of risk analysis, would you rather the stuff squirt all over the place and then risk giving your newborn a 'bar shot' worth of vit D or simply be patient and almost ensure no more than a literal drop will be delivered into your newborn? Common sense people. One last note: A negative reviewer stated something about "the bottle was almost empty!"...Yes, the bottle is no where near 'full'....but...wait for it...because...the rate of usage and the expiration date would not match up. So, if the bottle were 'full', about 90% of the product would remain when the expiration date arrived. As a new (and overly protective daddy), I hope my own experience and opinion assists someone else when solely making there own decision

I love these. I can't tell you how difficult it was to force feed a whole dropper size amount of enfamil Vi Di Sol down my children's throats. They hated it. This is so easy one tiny drop carefully dropped onto your finger or nipple and they suck it down! The reviews being negative about the bottle not being full---there's an "attention " message ON THE BOTTLE that says BOTTLE NOT COMPLETELY FILLED. pay attention people. Yes it's a bit pricey but compared to how much enfamil drops get wasted it's worth it. Just carefully tilt the bottle slowly on your fingertip and one drop comes out at a time

We were prescribed the Enfamil vitamin D drops for our child, and it was such a task to get 1ML of medicine "fed" to a newborn. It wouldn't have been that big of an issue if it didn't stain horribly (so we were putting protective coverings over everything in case she started drooling, spitting or what not). SUCH A MESS. Enter Ddrops. All you need is one drop... not 1 ML... one drop. I put it on my nipple before having her latch and it was so easy. Plus, it is a clear liquid so staining isn't an issue anymore. We aren't bothering with the rest of the Enfamil bottle after making the switch. Do yourself a favor and get these instead! -Michell

Way easier than a syringe!

Oh man one tiny drop a day? So easy! We do it during a morning diaper change when baby is laying flat and is happy or distracted. I just wait until a drop is on the edge of the nozzle and then squeeze baby cheeks to let it fall in their mouth. Never had an issue with them fussing so it must not taste bad or be noticeable that they ate anything at all. We used to have to do a full dropper of another product it was awful. This is so easy it's laughable
