I bought this because I had sinus pain/pressure, a sore throat, and a cough for weeks. I had been taking a natural vitamin c, but it wasn't helping, so I decided to give this stuff a shot. I had read reviews about the gross taste and texture, but thankfully, it didn't taste too bad to me. Within two days of taking two packets per day, all my flu symptoms were gone. Oddly enough, I've experienced several unexpected positive side effects. My blurry vision of 30 years disappeared, and I could see things clearly from far away. I was dumbfounded and went to the grocery store to see if I could read the signs in the aisles. I could. I couldn't before without glasses. I thought it was a fluke and stopped taking the supplement. The next day, my vision got blurry again. I took two packets, and later in the day, clear vision returned. I don't know how that's possible, but I'm thrilled. I suffer from dry eyes, have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue. I've also found I get deep sleep since taking these packets. I have more energy and less brain fog. I am using this to heal my 6 herniated disc (2 in cervical, 2 in thoracic, and 2 in lumbar areas), spinal bone spurs, and degenerative disc disease. I have been on it for 4 months so far, and I take 6 packs a day, along with powered ascorbic acid of 45,000 mg and my pain level has went from 8 to 2 and I am slowly getting my flexibility back. I also use hyaluronic acid 1/3 teaspoon to 12 oz water. copper 2 mg, vitamin B complex 100 mg and vitamin B-12 along with jucinging 5 large carrots, 2 apples, 1 orange and 2 celery stalks every morning and drinking 80 oz of water a day as well. I also use an inversion table, neck traction, and chair massager daily. When I the neurosurgeon said I was so far advanced he could nothing for me but put me on pain meds until the end, I cried, got angry, then googled natural healing until I found different things people did, and I combined them all. I read "Curing the Incurable" by Dr. Thomas Levy, and shared this information with my mother who has a terminal illness and she is also using this Lypo Spheric C and in 3 months she has improved 50%. We are hopeful this will completely cure her! 4 months ago I could not stand or sit. I could only lie flat on my back and that hurt my cervical vertebra. tears ran down my face multiple times a day from pain. I could not dress myself, nor shower by myself. Now I can dress myself! I can shower by myself! I can do light house keeping. I can sit and enjoy a movie with my husband. I can even ride in the car now, and walk around stores! this is a big difference! I am hopeful that in a few more months I maybe about 80- 90% healed! I hope that my review will help others who are suffering. Update: I did all that for 1 year, then cut down slowly to 10,000 mg vitamin C total. 1 pack lypo, 5,000mg powdered ascorbic acid, 4,000 vitamin C caplets, added bone broth and collagen to morning protein smoothy. I still do everything else daily. I have improved so much that I no longer wear a back brace and I am riding my bike, hiking, and camping again in my travel trailer. I have regained most of my life back. Added bonus the bone broth also have me strength back and collagen removed facial wrinkles so I look 10 years yonger! I doubt many people are buying this for their pets, but for anyone who is considering it, here is my story. My 19-year-old toy poodle came down with pneumonia. I took her to a vet with an ICU on Friday asking if she could stay with them as an inpatient until Monday morning. As of 8 PM Friday night, the vet thought my dog had at best a 50-50 chance of surviving until Monday morning, even with ICU care. Finally I made the decision to let her come home and die surrounded by family, in her own bed. We also discussed renting an oxygen tent for the home or purchasing a portable oxygen provider for dogs, but the vet thought the dog would likely be dead before either of those arrived. Dogs make their own vitamin C internally and normally do not need any supplementation, but in acute, emergency cases, some claim it can help if given in massive doses. Having nothing to lose, as she had a high likelihood of dying anyway, I gave her 1 packet of this every 2 hours. By the 5th packet she reached "bowel tolerance"-- meaning, she had reached saturation, causing diarrhea to begin. (She is 3.2 kg, which is 7 lbs.) By that time she was clearly and obviously breathing easier. I then fell asleep and woke up 4 hours later (5 hours after she received the 5th packet). By that time, she had fallen back into labored breathing again. Again, I gave her 1 packet every two hours until she had diarrhea again, and again her breathing improved. The improvement was marked and very obvious. We repeated this for two days. By the end of the weekend, she was very obviously "out of the woods" and although she was still very, very sick, I could see she was going to survive. Twelve days later, she is now walking around the yard and enjoying the spring. The vet says it is a "miracle." The dog herself acts like nothing whatsoever has happened. To be clear, she was also receiving subcutaneous fluids once a day (which I administered to her at home) to keep her from getting dehydrated, and I also used a vaporizer ( Vicks Personal Steam Inhaler ) on her, which she hated at first but became able to tolerate whenever the vitamin C kicked in and her breathing passages opened up a bit. Every time the vitamin C wore off, she had a hard time tolerating the vaporizer even for brief periods. One lesson here is that you need to have it ON HAND for use in an emergency. In my case, if I had ordered it even with Prime and waited a day or two for it to arrive, it likely would have been too late. It expires 18 months after being manufactured, so keep that in mind as well. As for its effects on humans, you can search for "vitamin C New Zealand" (or H1N1 or swine flu) on You Tube and watch a "60 Minutes" TV show episode talking about the use of massive doses of vitamin C. These packets can be seen there in the video. Incidentally, a neighbor with chronic HCV (hepatitis C) knows my dog very well and basically watched this dog with one foot in the grave somehow come back to life. Amazed by this, she immediately purchased a box of this lypo C for herself. She has been combining these with regular vitamin C tablets because the lypoC itself is too expensive to rely on exclusively. 21 packets and 120 vitamin C tablets (60 grams) later (that is her self-reported total after 3 days, taking it to bowel tolerance), she says she suddenly has more energy than she has felt in years and was able to clean her house. Until this time, she was so sick that she was unable to get out of bed and had lost 30 lbs in a year from being unable to eat. She also says she no longer thinks the lypoC tastes funny, because now her body craves it. So that is a human endorsement I can add. [Edit to add: It is now 1 month later and this neighbor says that her hair used to fall out in clumps from her treatment, and that has now stopped.

*Update* July 2017: I'm changing my rating from 1 star to 5. I ordered a box directly from the manufacturer and received a booklet of instructions and a shot glass. The booklet suggested exposing the contents of the packet to air for 15 minutes to allow the alcohol to evaporate. I tried it and then took the Vit C. No more headaches! I took 2/day before and after a tooth extraction. It healed very quickly. I usually get sick at least once every winter, but I didn't get so much as a cough or sniffle last winter while taking this. After finishing the box from the manufacturer I used the rest of the box I bought from Amazon- letting the alcohol evaporate. Still no headaches! I'm glad I'm noticing benefits from it! Sept 2016:This product gave me terrible headaches! I wanted so badly for it to work! I gave it 5 days, and I continued to feel worse after each dose. Perhaps it was a bad batch. Maybe I should buy directly from the manufacturer. I will most likely try that because I would love the health benefits so many other reviewers have claimed

I love Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C and highly recommend it! I take it in some ways that are probably fairly common and some ways that are perhaps unusual. I take Bronson Vitamin C 1000 mg tablets twice a day on a regular basis but then supplement my Vitamin C as needed with Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C. I take Lypo-Spheric whenever I think I may be coming down with something or just need a general boost. I also keep 10 packets in our truck in the country in case I am ever bitten by a rattlesnake I will take those 10 packets as my wife drives me to the emergency room. Then I sometimes take mega-doses (perhaps twice a year) to try and wipe out or least weaken any viruses I might have, especially CMV, which most of us have. According to the Fight Aging! website: “Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a common herpesvirus present in near everyone by the time old age rolls around. In the majority of people it presents no symptoms, but it is apparently an important factor in the age-related decline of the immune system. Like all herpesviruses it cannot be effectively cleared from the body, and over the years the immune system devotes ever more of its limited resources to uselessly fighting it. An old immune system contains legions focused on cytomegalovirus and all too few cells capable of responding to other pathogens. This is one of the contributing causes of immunosenescence, the progressive failure of the immune system with age.” Then according to Dr. Thomas E. Levy's website: “Remember that very many infections, toxin exposures, and even chronic diseases can and have been very effectively managed by taking only one type of vitamin C, usually sodium ascorbate or ascorbic acid, and dosing it steadily in multi-gram doses throughout the day. Liposome-encapsulated vitamin C and intravenous vitamin C are wonderful and highly effective, but don't feel you are out of luck if you do not have sufficient money or access to use these types of vitamin C. However, many acute infections and many chronic degenerative diseases can require 50, 100 or even many more grams of regular vitamin C daily to get the results you want. Lypo-C and IVC can get you where you want to go much more quickly and effectively.” Based on these two assertions/theories I believe it is worth the time and expense to try to wipe out CMV with Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C. I can't find any research on the dosage or timing, so I just take an entire box (30 packets) over a 3-4 day period. That works out to be 8-10 packets per day. I take a packet every two hours. Will it help? I don't know for sure but for $30 the prospect of possibly wiping out and/or weakening CMV and keeping my aging immune system humming is certainly worth the investment. To take, I simply squeeze a packet of Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C into a small glass of water and then down the whole thing in one swallow. There is no taste to it, and it is simple to do. SOY, is a proven endocrine disrupter for many people. This product may be a "non-GMO" soy but it's still SOY. I wrote to this LivOn company and presented my "case" so-to-speak. I explained that after I got a blood test which showed that my thyroid panel was, after two years of being off SOY, suddenly out of balance again after taking this product for a few months several times per day. I asked them to tell me if they had anything to offset my theories. For example, maybe the process which produces this product renders the endocrine adversity null and void. One never knows and I like to ask before assuming anything. Back to my story: After seeing the low thyroid function in my recent blood test, it dawned on me....what products have I been gleefully consuming which might be disruptive??? Well, whaddaya know!! Here is a potential culprit. But I have no absolute proof because unlike a potent poison, you cannot take one serving of this product and vomit and then see the cause and effect. . It takes a longer time for hormones to react to soy but the damage is nefarious and consistent. Do some research. One website questions if soy is a dangerous scientific experiment. But the case histories of the nefarious effects of soy are all over the web and i think you can trust that 90% of those articles are not "Fake News". I would agree that unless the proper controls are put into place, nothing can be really proven unless several people were to undergo a double blind placebo test to see if this product can, in fact perform just like any soy products regardless of the GMO or non-GMO origins. Nobody will spend the money to prove or disprove this possible (or should I say "Probable") effect so I'll just have to assume that because I got nothing by way of a response from LivON and because there are hundreds of articles on the adversity of soy for human consumption that this product does not get any kind of exemption. Therefore, maybe we should simply avoid SOY including any product made from SOY. Again, this is regardless of its GMO status. But it is proven over and over again that SOY products can have negative effects on humans and except in fermented soy products such as they make in Japan where all the good news about soy seems to come from, SOY can be harmful. Do your own research. And make your own decisions

As I've gotten older it has become more difficult to get enough Vitamin C as I've become less tolerant of ascorbic acid and mineral ascorbates found in products like C-Salts and Emergen-C. I can still take them but not as much as I would like. I basically have to restrict intact of that type of Vitamin C to about 1000 mg per day. Problems, for me, that emerge from traditional sources of Vitamin C include diahrrea, dry patches on skin and acid reflux. This lyposomal form of Vitamin C is brilliant in that it is directly metabolized by the liver bypassing the digestive breakdown path for most nutrients and basically sneaking in via the fat processing mechanism. It is very easy on the stomach and does not trigger some of the responses the body might have to ascorbic acid or mineral ascorbates. The packets are convenient. But the taste. When this product first arrived I boldly opened a packet and sucked the contents down directly. A large glob hit the back of my throat and the wretched flavor and burning sensation lasted quite awhile. Really unpleasant. After studying a few reviews I realized that it is best to pour a very small amount of orange juice into one of those tiny juice glasses they used to serve orange juice in at restaurants, about 1/4 cup of OJ is perfect. Empty the Lypo-Spheric packet into the middle of the glass. Swirl the glass a couple of time to ensure that the packet contents are not stuck to the side of the glass. Then toss back the entire mix like a shot past your tongue directly to the back of your throat then swallow. Sounds elaborate but you do *not* want to taste this product. Trust me on that. Aside from the taste this is probably the best form of Vitamin C that you can take and it is so effective that you can actually feel it. I'm very tempted to try other products from this company and will probably try the Gluthione packets. Expensive but very very good

Update March 2015: pretty much stopped buying this because I make my own much cheaper now. About ten cents a gram versus 1 dollar for these packets. It is a bigger hassle to make my own, but when I do I can take 5-10 grams a day for less than a dollar. I would buy this Amazon offering again if the price was cut to $10 a box of 30. If money is not a problem buy this professional version, but you really need to eat $5 worth a day to get the best benefit. Great stuff, homemade or Amazon stuff. End of 2015 update Great product...impossible to find in my fairly large city in any health food stores. The best way to take this vitamin is get a small 2-3 oz. cup of orange or grapefruit juice. Get a water glass as backup chaser, but for most non-squeamish users that is not necessary. It can have a minor globby taste, but to me it is not an unpleasant taste. It helps to stir it well (use the handle of a spoon down in the cup briskly for 10 seconds). Use scissors to cut the end off completely at the tabs and then multiple fold and squeeze it down like a toothpaste tube. As for my own experience of the benefits as opposed to cheaper oral vitamin C...I can only offer anecdotal evidence. After about 5 days of taking it at least twice a day (one day 3 packets) I feel a little different in a good way. No massive infusion of extra energy, but there is some indication of improved energy. My blood pressure seems lower (haven't monitored it, but I know when I am hypertensive). The bad thing is the dollars go pretty quickly with 2-3 people in a household taking it, but hey...what price do you put on improved health? I read today that blood travels a complete circuit in your body every 60 seconds. It is comforting to know I have this new blend of Vitamin C traveling around nonstop every day. [Update after 70 days of use]: I would swear my facial wrinkles are half what they used to be! I don't forget to take this vitamin very often...usually the first thing in the morning for my wife and I before we have our lovely home-brewed coffees (I buy country of origin coffees as my only vice. *;-) We also found grapefruit juice by far masks the slightly squishy texture and slightly funky smell better than any other juice. I really like grapefruit juice and my wife is not so big a fan, but she likes the liposomal vitamin in grapefruit juice better than other juices she prefers to drink alone. (Update after about 4-5 months of use). Facial wrinkles even more reduced. I don't forget to take this vitamin every day. It gives me more energy also. My wife has decided she likes it better in orange juice now so I buy some Brazilian blended with Mexican orange juice and she likes it better than my Rio Grande Valley grapefruit juice

This is D.H. White's significant other. I had heard vit. c has been used to cure cancer, which is why I was taking this particular liquid form of it, which they say moves quickly into your bloodstream. Several doses a day are supposed to be as effective as a vitamin c IV treatment, if a YouTube video by a doctor is to be believed. Although I can't really know the actual effectiveness of this vitamin C in my body, I DO know that it helped heal a troubling spot on my face. I had a dime-sized, rough, darkened spot on my face for over a year, which was growing slowly toward the corner of my eye. No ointments, including tea tree ointment (great stuff), helped, so I started to dab a bit of this lypo-spheric vit. c on the spot once a day. I thought, if it is safe enough to ingest, it shouldn't hurt my face. Within 2 weeks the spot had lost the roughness and was 1/2 its former size. Now, after a month just a small dark spot is left, about 1/3 of the original size. Lightening the dark spot might be as easy as putting lemon juice on it, but I'm confident that this product not only lightened the spot, but halted its growth, cured the roughness, and shrank it. By the way, I find this product easiest to take in a shot glass with a little water and lemon juice, or with any juice. It's not nasty tasting, just has a slimey texture

My husband was hospitalized with West Nile Virus 4 years ago. While there he ended up with a pulmonary emboliusm and consequently landed in the ICU where he acquired pneumonia with MRSA. I was lucky enough to learn of the healing powers of high dose vitamin C and to get ahold of Dr. Levy, the creator of this product. He actually spoke to the hospital staff to instruct them on administering it by IV but after that caused his blood pressure to rise (it was given in a sodium base instead of sucrose) they stopped giving it. However, at the same time he was put on a ventilator with feeding tube and we were able to then administer 4 packets a day of this formula per day through the feeding tube. The staff had told me that we should expect him to be on the ventilator for MONTHS due to the various assaults on his lungs, but it was only 18 DAYS, and each of those days he was getting the equivalent of nearly 50,000 mg of vitamin C. He was then able to move to a rehab center closer to home rather than having to go miles away to a place that could handle people on ventilators. High dose Vit C is very effective against all types of respiratory illnesses and conditions and recently has been reported to be effective against sepsis and is in use at some hospitals. We continue to use it to ward off anything that tries to take root including colds or flu and highly recommend it, although it's a good idea to learn all you can about it. Some people with compromised kidneys and a certain genetic factor should use caution with these high levels of Vit C.
