Small size, easy to swallow! Good value for an unusual to find dosage!

This bottle is a pretty good value. I ordered this particular dosage because my doctor specifically told me to take 5000IU so I am glad I found it as one pill instead of taking 5x 1000IU pills! For some reason this higher dosage is a little tougher to find in just one single pill. I didn't want to have trouble swallowing a whole lot of pills to make up the dosage or taking a huge pill that will make me choke, but these are very small and smooth so easy to swallow in the morning after breakfast. They are small translucent softgels and a little smaller than my fingernail (see pictures). My doctor told me to take extra Vitamin D because I had lower levels and with working indoors I don't get enough from the sun normally. My doctor also said taking Vitamin D could brighten my mood (because apparently if you are deficient that can negatively impact your mood - oh joy! I guess sunshine does make you happy! lol). But either way I tend to feel a lot better over time after taking these pills for a few weeks. I take one pill (5000IU) 3x per week. And that higher dosage in this form still seems to be pretty easy on my stomach so no complaints. I will order more when I run out

An Extremely Important Vitamin That's Affordable!

My Endocrinologist had advised that I needed to start taking a vitamin supplement after they had ran labs on me. It was found that my Vitamin D3 level was a bit below normal. I'm in my mid-years, and I used to be a very active person outside. But, as my life has changed over the years, I find myself spending more time inside now. As being as such, it wasn't surprising to learn that my Vitamin D3 levels had begun to suffer. As directed by my doctor, I started taking one Vitamin D3 Supplement daily â€" Nature Made brand softgels. After only about a month, low and behold, I was starting to feel better than I had in a really long time. I stated to have more energy, I wasn't falling asleep during the day anymore, and I was able to do my daily exercises with a bit more ease. My doctor ran those exact same labs again after I had taken almost the full bottle, my level was much higher than before. I was told it's going to take a while to get things back to normal, but I can definitely tell its working. The Nature Made brand Vitamin D3 Supplement seems to be offered at a similar price as most others on the market. This is an amazing and affordable vitamin supplement that is easy to swallow by mouth and by your pocket financially. Always ask your doctor before deciding to start or stop a vitamin supplement regimen. Listening to my doctors about needing to take specific vitamin supplements has really turned my life around

Couldn't be happier

These arrived in perfect shape, no melting, at the beginning of September during a heat wave. These need to be taken with a fatty meal for best absorption and to avoid GI upset - if you make sure to do this you won't feel sick when taking this dose. A lot of people are complaining about the smell - first, does it really matter how your vitamins and supplements smell? They ALL smell weird. Second, these are gelcaps, and some gelatin is made with fish products, especially if it is marked as kosher, which causes a slight fish smell. Stop sniffing your pills and just swallow them - I am very pleased with these

Physician recommended

I am lactose intolerant (most adults are), plus I work indoors, so I am not outside too often, so I suppose it isn't a huge surprise I recently learned I was Vitamin D3 deficient. BE ADVISED: this is not a regular vitamin supplement to simply boost your immune system and bone health; this is for people who are significantly deficient in the vitamin. Be sure your physician/healthcare provider is recommending this before you buy it. It even says so on the label (see the photos I took). To me, it has no smell or real taste. The label says to drink it down with water and to follow up with another gulp of water. I suppose some people may find it difficult to swallow, but so far it has been simple for me to swallow. My physician has instructed me to take this vitamin (I was told I could either buy it myself or have a prescription for it), so I decided to purchase it since it is a year supply. I was told to take one each day with the largest meal I eat, which for me is dinner. So, that gives you an idea, as this is a high dose of vitamin D3, that is why I cautioned about people simply looking for vitamin supplements to improve themselves. Too much of a good thing is almost always a bad thing, as I noticed on my lab results (which led to the discovery of my deficiency), that it displays a healthy range in which a person should be. So, be sure that you should be consuming this product, not simply wanting to. I have no reference to any other brands, as this is my first purchase, but the bottle arrived next day for me and it was in good condition (not damaged nor appeared to be tampered with). I ordered in February of 2022 and the expiration date is in November of 2023, so it has a decent shelf life. The label states that it should be stored in a cool, dry location. So, I keep mine in one of my kitchen cabinets. The PHOTOS I took are just for a bit of reference to this product; a photo of the pill (you can see my dinner fork near it, it is a small pill), the back of the label with the ingredient list and additional ingredients, and the advisory/warning portion of the label which also states not to take it before consulting a physician

Increases Vitamin D!

I have been taking a relatively high dose of Vitamin D since April 2016 when I was being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. After blood work, my results came back well below 'normal' standards, where I believe I was around 9. I was prescribed 8,000 units of Vitamin D for the first several months, then moved to 6,000 units and now after 2 years take 5,000 IU. One pill of this suffices, which is great since I do take other medicines at the same time. I periodically have my blood drawn and checked for my Vitamin D level and per my results I just got back, I am at 48 (speak with your physician, but I believe recommended range is 30-80). I have not taken any other brand of Vitamin D because after several tests, I know it is increasing my levels. I will continue to use this and will recommend the brand. I have tried the small tab version and it is too hard to swallow and gets stuck in my throat. These are slick gel and are easy to take

40,000 IU per week for 6 weeks solved dificiency

Very good quality & effective. I had severe bone & muscle pain for a year. Comes and goes. Doctors could not find the cause. I was watching a video..Doc was saying ...take 40,000 IU Vitamin D with water. Wait for 2 hours. If your pain gone, you will be sure it is severe Vitamin D deficiency. I did . I took 8 capsules ( 5000 IU x 8 = 40000 IU ) with water. Within an hour all pain gone. In severe deficiency, taking 40000 IU per week for 6 weeks can solve severe Vitamin D deficiency. Thanks

Makes a difference!

Since I have mobility AND car issues, I'm inside 95% of the time. It dawned on me that my depression was, in part, probably due to a lack of sunshine. These seemed to help, and when I stopped taking them for a few days and then started up again, it became obvious that they definitely took the edge off

Hemorrhoid relief?

Some (overly detailed) background: I've dealt with hemorrhoids on a near daily basis for over two years at this point. And I don't mean minor discomfort, mine were VICIOUS. There were some days I would cry from anxiety at the thought of going to the bathroom. Unexpected life changes: For completely unrelated reasons, my doctor recently ran a blood test for me. Turns out I was dangerously low on vitamin D3 so she recommended I start taking 5,000 IUs as a daily supplement. A glorious side effect seems to be that my hemorrhoids have disappeared. Unfortunately I can't find any medical studies (just one sort of crackpot book that recommends TOXIC levels of vitamin D3 - don't poison yourself). But if you just can't seem to find relief from them, maybe have your blood levels checked to see if you should be on this supplement. And if you're a doctor looking for a potential clinical study, consider doing this one. Fingers crossed it keeps working

Easy to swallow, seems effective…

I take this product because it was recommended by my OBGYN after he looked at the dryness of the skin on my hands. I also suffer from seasonal depression so he thought this supplement would help. It seems to be helping my dry skin and I think it may be helping my hair be shinier and stronger as well. It's either this supplement or the fish oil I have been taking. The capsules are so tiny and easy to swallow. I'd recommend them because if the ease of swallowing and the possible benefits for your mental health and immune system
