It's pretty clear that we all need to maintain our vitamin D levels, and especially with reduced sunshine levels in wintertime, taking a D3 supplement is a wise preventive move. Thus I have been taking D3 for a few years now. During that time I have tried several different brands and dosages, and I honestly have not been able to detect any difference between them.
But it is still interesting to try out new offerings, and here is another.
As an average reviewer without the ability to do a laboratory analysis, it is impossible to objective evaluate exactly what is in any type of pill or supplement, so all one can do is trust the brand and the statements on the product.
The packaging says:
“Contains no: Artificial color, flavor or sweetener, preservatives, sugar, starch, milk, lactose, gluten, wheat, yeast or fish.”
It also says: “Not suitable for vegetarians.” presumably because it does contain gelatin.
It also contains soy, which my spouse cannot take, although is not a problem for me.
Lastly, it is not clear where this product comes from. The label says “Manufactured for: Nature's Instincts” but does not state the country of origin. I wish they would have stated this, because I am not completely comfortable ingesting a product that might have been made in one of those countries that is not always known for product purity
