I am an extremely frustrated customer after TWO BAD BOTTLES!

What happened to these pills?? I have taken these for a long time and the last two bottles have been so EXTREMELY FISHY AND FOUL that I could not consume them. Opening the bottles was such a disappointing experience because I love NN and now I do not know whether to switch or give them one more try. I understand that bad batches may happen but this was 2 bottles and they have different numbers on them. I don't know if the supplier is storing them incorrectly or the shipper is to blame or it's just no longer the quality I was used to. Either way, I'm not getting my daily supplement in for the first time in 7 years. Extremely frustrated as a loyal customer to Nordic Naturals. :

Has extra vitamin D! Be cautious if you are taking a Post-natal vitamin as well.

Not sure if I will order more...my postnatal vitamin already has a boat load of vitamin D, and this blend also provides vitamin D. Read somewhere too much vitamin D is toxic and one of the common symptoms is feeling tired (you're basically overwhelming your body/kidneys). I took this in conjunction with my postnatal vitamins for about a week and was super tired, so I've since stopped taking this and my energy level is back to normal. As for this postnatal omega 3 vitamin, the lemon flavor is not something you really taste, but it's better than fish oil taste. So that's a plus. Wish this had worked out. Will have to see if Nordic Naturals makes an omega3/DHA only pill

Made me sick

I've taken the Prenatal Omega-3 during my entire pregnancy, no problems so I decided to get these Postnatal ones and they aren't the same. These made me feel sick and they are so much harder to swallow. I can't take these unless on a very full stomach

Great product, worth it!

After my first pregnancy my vitamin d levels plummeted and I experienced extreme fatigue and a bit of PPD. I was vitamin D deficient through my second pregnancy as well and was determined not to repeat my PPD. I started taking this asap after birth combined with a 5000 I.U. Vitamin D Supplement and at 6 week check-up my levels were back in normal range which is hard to do so quickly. Note you have to take two pills a day. They are medium sized, so if you have trouble with pills keep that in mind

Dissapointed!

NORDIC NATURALS what is going on? Twice already I had this issue, and last time I couldn't even get the pills out of the bottle. So disappointed, this tells me that maybe your product is been in a warehouse forever and has gotten supper hot that the pills either melt or explode... about to cancel subscription and find something else..

Like Nordic Naturals for the Omega-3s!

After much research (for quality, safety and etc), we settled on Nordic Naturals for the prenatal Omega-3s. Everything was good on for the prenatal version. After giving birth, we saw that there was a postnatal version but wanted to continue taking omega-3s for the breastmilk. Compared to the prenatal version, the EPA/DHA ratio was different ... and the Vitamin D was much more (check if other vitamins you are taking already have Vitamin D and how much... may not want to overdo it). Per our pediatrician, postnatal versions haven't been around for long and it's fine to continue taking the prenatal version. Don't really know if this is truly optimized for postnatal but doesn't seem like there's a big difference compared to the prenatal... so our thoughts were it wouldn't hurt to switch to the postnatal version

Came Highly Recommended

I recently had a micropreemie who was born weighing just over a pound. Preemies face many hurdles including developmental delays. A neurologist at the top children's hospital in the country recommended this supplement and this brand. He explained that breastfeeding and taking this supplement would set her up for sucess and lay some solid groundwork for brain development and function. He was working on a lot of research as it related to preemies and infants and Omegas. Sold. I've had no gross fish burps and enjoy the lemony flavor. Of course with all vitamins/supplements I take them with food to avoid stomach upset. Not saying that this supplement will cause miracles but I've liked I so far and it will continue to use it

Did not work as well

I am 11 months postpartum and have taken a DHA/fish oil supplement and prenatal vitamin since becoming pregnant. I wanted to try a less expensive fish oil and drop my prenatal vitamin. I did not feel like this supplement helped manage my anxiety nearly as good as the Rainbow Light brand. I will be going back to their supplement

easy to swallow

The only fish oil supplement I'll take, especially while nursing! No fish burps, easy to swallow, highest purity/quality, and a hefty dose of vitamin D. That said, I also have to take a separate vitamin D supplement in order to reach the dose recommended by my lactation consultant (6000 IU for an exclusively breastfed baby in order to avoid having to give her drops of her own)

Got these when I started breast feeding my second child. They are really easy to swallow compared to others pills I've had to take. They are a bit expensive, but I see it as I'm not buying formula, so I can invest that money in making my milk more nutritious. My second time breastfeeding has been a breeze due to the added supply I get from taking these
