Pepcid AC is also effective for pets. I've given it to my cat for over a year, using 1/4 tablet twice daily. This, along with other medications, has kept him nearly symptom-free. It's designed to reduce stomach acid, and while it's been used for my cat, it's also been beneficial for my daughter during stomach upsets. I've found it works safely without side effects for my family. If my cat has a good appetite and doesn't throw up, I know he's doing well.

It really works! These have been a godsend. I discovered that my stomach and chest pain stemmed from gastritis and hiatus hernia. I have used many acid reducers, yet I always return to Pepcid AC Original Strength. I take higher doses due to a sensitivity to the coating but find it does not interfere with other medications or nutrient absorption, unlike others. It's worth taking several times a day during flare-ups for its effectiveness.

Pepcid has made a drastic positive improvement in my Shih Tzu's quality of life. My Sasha, an 8-year-old Shih Tzu, suffered from acid reflux, causing her not to want to eat and leading to breathing issues. After consulting my caring vet, we started her on Pepcid—a simple fix at 0.25 mg per pound twice daily. The results were almost unbelievable; after the first dose, she began eating again and no longer experienced upset stomach or breathing problems due to acid burning her oesophagus. I had no idea of the drastic, positive effects this over-the-counter medicine could have. I now only use the easier-to-split 10 mg pills. Thank you, Pepcid!
