My new go to multivitamin

I love these as an alternative to the horse pills that are normal daily vitamins. Yes the serving size is technically 2 pills but I only take 1 because first off, unless your diet consists 100% of oreos, you should be getting the remaining vitamins from your food, and second off, vitamin overdose is a real thing and it really irks me that these companies have to cram 100% your recommended intake into every horse pill. Especially because those intakes are usually based on a 2000 calorie diet, which is more than most women need to maintain a healthy weight. Also for everyone complaining about the serving size, the TRADEMARK is called "One A Day," most likely because the branch specializes in products you take once a day. The Amazon listing provides adequate details to inform you that the serving size is 2, and if you don't read all of the information before buying, it isn't the company or product's fault. Very helpful for my swallowing problems

I have dysphagia (swallowing problems), and the normal horse-pill women's vitamins literally get stuck in my throat. It could take up to seven swallows before they went down. Fairly scary stuff. Cutting the horse pills in half did not help, as then they just had sharp edges that hurt as they got stuck. But I personally can swallow my boyfriend's still-large-but-slightly-smaller multi-vitamin. I think the extra calcium and iron in the women's vitamin add bulk. But I wanted the calcium and iron, so his slightly smaller pills weren't the solution. So these pills work excellently for me. No, they are not tiny, but for me, they are small enough and smooth-edged enough to go down easily. Taking two of them is far better than struggling to get a normal women's vitamin un-stuck from my throat. (the coin in the video is a dime.) If you have problems swallowing even regular-sized vitamins, and you don't need the calcium or iron, I've seen gummy vitamins recommended on a dysphagia listserv (though I can't vouch for them myself). You also might try taking the pills in a spoonful of applesauce. My own swallowing problem makes liquids particularly difficult to swallow, so I take the pills in a spoonful of applesauce. It's so easy that I don't even notice these pills are there, so I'd think it might help others too. Yogurt should work similarly. Update: the other reviewer with a video posted in the comments that she's now taking "Viactiv Calcium Supplement Soft Chews, Milk Chocolate, 100-Count along with a chewable iron pill." So this is a solution for people who can't swallow medium-sized pills but want the calcium and iron from a woman's vitamin

Product Has New Look

When I received my bottle of One-a-Day Petites they were an off color. I was used to them being a yellow/gold color but these were a tan speckled color. I contacted Amazon and they replaced them but the new ones that came were the same. I had also purchased some from another store and they were also the speckled color. In September of 2019, the color of the One A Day multivitamin tablets were changed to a neutral color with specks on them because we removed the artificial colors from the tablets. This is due to the reformulation of our vitamins per FDA guidelines so consumers can have a healthier choice when selecting their vitamins and foods they eat. I was glad to know the ones I purchased were safe to take and thought others may have the same concerns. This is the new look

I am so glad that I found these vitamins

This review is for One a Day Women's Petites vitamins. I am so glad that I found these vitamins! Throughout my adulthood I have had problems with vitamins making me nauseated, to the point that it just wasn't worth it to me. Finally I asked my Dr who told me to buy children's vitamins and take 2 a day, one in the morning and one in the night. It worked! But as much as I laughed about the Flinstones vitamins from my childhood they just weren't what I needed. So I went back to the drawing board and found these vitamins. I love that they are "petites" which means they are much easier to swallow, and you take 2 a day. For me that's perfect. I take 1 in the morning and one at night. I have never had any problem with nausea or any other ill effects. In fact, I can feel a noticeable difference in my health if I stop taking these they work so well! I am now diligent in making sure I don't run out, and that I take them every day so that I feel my best. I would highly recommend these to anyone who has difficulty swallowing pills, or has the experience of vitamins making you feel nauseated. It's a win win

Formula Change

A lot of reviewers have noticed a change in the appearence of these. I contacted Bayer to see what was up, this is the reply I got if anyone's wondering. "Thank you for taking the time to contact Bayer Consumer Health. We appreciate your interest in the appearance and formula of our One A Day® Women's Petites. One A Day® Women's Petites underwent a formula change in September 2019. We changed the Daily Values of some of our nutrients due to new FDA labeling regulations as well as changes to the formula. We also updated the formula to add more Biotin since we know this ingredient offers benefits to women. The color of the One A Day multivitamin tablets are changed to a neutral color with specks on them because we removed the artificial colors from the tablets. This is due to the reformulation of our vitamins per FDA guidelines so consumers can have a healthier choice when selecting their vitamins and foods they eat." Confusingly they say they inreased the Biotin amount? On the bottle I got it says "Biotin 30 mcg" which is less that the "1000 mcg" is currently says on the product info on their website . I'll update this review if I get an answer on that. ***UPDATE*** This is the follow up message I got about the Biotin content: “My apologies for any confusion caused. The bottle that you have which contains 30mcg of Biotin is the reformulated one that's been on the market since September of 2019 with the neutral color and specks on them. The One A Day Women's Petites MultiVitamin Caplets prior to September 2019 is the one that has the 1000mcg of Biotin in it which were a light yellow in color. Some of the nutrients in the formula has increased, such as the Vitamin C which was 75mg and currently that is 84mg in the new formula. We will be notifying our website team and hopefully they can update the website to display the new formula soon.â€

Read the nutrition info before you purchase

Seriously, why are people reviewing this negatively because it has iron in it? It's literally on the photo, all you have to do is read. If you didn't want a vitamin with iron in it, why did you buy it? And then, after discovering that the mistake was YOUR mistake, why did you proceed to leave a one-star review on the item? lo

Perfect for swallowing

I have been taking One a Day vitamins, everyday, for about 10 years. I strongly believe they work because being 60 years old, I am not on any daily medications, don't have high blood pressure, and every time I have yearly bloodwork done, my numbers are always within range so I am totally satisfied with this brand. This was my first bottle of the petites because I have had past experiences with almost choking off of the regular size, so I definitely needed to find something smaller but staying with this brand. They are thin and flat which makes them very easy to swallow. I've read people complaining about needing to take two instead of one but it's because two equal the size of the regular ones which are hard to swallow. I'd rather take two at a time rather than not be around to take any. Another thing, I worked retail before and a 90 yr old customer was there shopping alone and I asked her did she mind telling me what her secret was because she was very pretty for her age. She said she takes a daily vitamin and eats oatmeal every day! That was it for me, I will be taking One a Days for life! And I don't wish to take the over 50's, I think the regular ones are sufficient enough

Brown Color change is a Formula Update and completely safe.

Update 11/12/19: So I got a bottle full of brown speckled vitamins, like those shown in other folks' photos and was concerned. I called Bayer directly and learned that in alliance with some legislation, they reformulated these vitamins without the orange coating. I broke open one of my old vitamins and sure enough- it looks brown and speckled on the inside just like the new ones. Bayer told me these are perfectly safe to consume. A warning about the change on the packaging might be nice, doncha think? Anyway, Do NOT take my word for it. Call the consumer number on the bottle if you have concerns and never take a product you think has been tampered with. Previous review: I love the size of these and also being able to take them twice a day instead of one big dose. I wish they had a broader mineral profile. For example, these contain no magnesium. Still, I'm very pleased with them and wish I could find them at the grocery store, too. Amazon's price is comparable to better

Smaller and easily swallowed.

I hated taking a multivitamin because if the size. Those gummy multi-vitamins are a waste of money as they don't offer many of the vitamins and quantities need according to my doctor. He suggested getting a petite vitamin. I found these on amazon and they're the perfect size. Easily swallowed. They're half the size of a normal multi-vitamin, so you will need to take two. I highly recommend these petite vitamins, their not like those horse pill types! LOL

This is my second order! I love them!

I recently ran out of these and put in a order immediately. I noticed when I didn't take them for a few days my energy was considerably low. I love that these are petite so they are easy to swallow. There isn't much of a taste so I appreciate that as well. I would recommend these for women who are looking for an everyday multivitamin with an affordable price
