I ordered this for my daughter, who suffered from vitamin B12 deficiency, leading to issues with movement and leg cramps that could last for about an hour. After a full course of B12 injections with little success, she started using Solgar's vitamin B12. Happily, she is now free from leg cramps and has overcome her deficiency. Thank you, Solgar!

We evaluated the effectiveness of intramuscular vitamin B12 in treating low back pain among 60 patients aged 18 to 65 with mechanical pain lasting at least six months.

In this double-blind, placebo-controlled study, both groups showed improvement in pain levels. However, those receiving B12 had a more significant reduction in pain and dependence on pain medication compared to the placebo group.

Overall, B12 appears to be a safe option for alleviating low back pain, helping to reduce discomfort and medication use for those without nutritional deficiencies.

We explored the potential of high doses of vitamin B12 to protect against heart damage caused by ischemia/reperfusion injury. By researching mice subjected to heart injury, we found that vitamin B12 showed promising effects in reducing oxidative stress and improving heart function.

Our findings suggest that this vitamin works through specific pathways that lessen inflammation and cell death in heart tissue. However, more studies are needed to fully understand its therapeutic value in treating heart disease.

Vitamin B12 benefits
Most Useful Review
Vitamin B12, a vital B-complex nutrient, aids energy metabolism and promotes a healthy nervous system. It, along with folic acid and vitamin B6, supports heart health by maintaining normal homocysteine levels. B12 is essential for the development and regeneration of red blood cells, which deliver oxygen throughout the body, particularly relevant for treating heart disease.
