Utterly sublime wedge
I've been using TaylorMade for many years, and like many other golfers, I have "upgraditis". I've been using MG2 wedges since release, and they're very good. However, while good, spin control starts to fade over time with them. I'm not alone in this observation. Also, I've never really been that impressed with the spin I get out of the MG2 wedges, even when I first started using them. Obviously, the MG3 wedges are supposed to feature a much improved face. Here's what I can tell you after 2 months of sporadic winter use: 1. The face is much more aggressive than the MG2. 2. Control is phenomenal. 3. Distance is more predictable. 4. And yes, spin is FAR better. Overall: While I can't comment on the long-term consistency of these wedges, out of the box they most certainly are better than the MG2, and it's not close. 5 star
