I buy this in the six-pack because I go through it. Honestly, I don't especially love the taste, but you do get used to it. Like many of the other reviewers here, I drink this because I have (had, thanks to this tea!!) gross hormonal acne that popped up along my jawline and the sides of my chin. (Unlike many reviewers, I'm female but I don't have PCOS, just terrible skin.) I had read somewhere that people take spironolactone for this type of acne, and had resigned myself to waiting until my insurance plan year was up so that I could go see a dermatologist, then I read on SkincareAddiction that people sometimes use spearmint for the same! Apparently it binds off with the excess androgen. For this reason, I wholeheartedly recommend this to women but I'm not sure what would happen to men if they took it, since androgen is a male hormone.... I found this product first in a local natural foods store and dove in, starting with two cups a day and tracking the number of blemishes in that area. (I am neurotic.) The first day, I had 27 blemishes. The tenth day, I had five. By then end of the first month, I had no blemishes along my jawline--at that point, as much for expense as for anything else, I scaled down to one cup a day and found that was effective for maintaining my new clear skin. I've been at this for about six months now, I'm finally eligible to go to the dermatologist and I won't bother now. Incidentally, I didn't find that it had much effect on the rest of my face--other than this hormonal stuff, I break out when I deserve to (falling asleep with makeup on, a weekend of crappy eating) and the spearmint didn't effect that either positively or negatively. I buy this in the six-pack online because it's quite difficult to find in stores! The first box that I bought was the only such box in that health food store, and I had to supplement with Bigelow's Mint Medley, which was a mix of different mints, and as far as I can tell only the spearmint has this effect. I saw faster improvements when I was drinking the pure spearmint

For whatever reason, I'm retaining water and feel bloated and uncomfortable. It's funny but something I've never had just came to mind - dandelion root. Of all things.... So I get on the internet and do some research on dandelion root. Aside from being a diuretic, this stuff improves digestion thereby aiding in weight loss; it helps with skin conditions (like psoriasis and acne) because it detoxifies the liver; is full of calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium, vitamins B & C - and others; helps regulate blood sugar (great for folks with blood sugar problems)... blah blah blah! So without ever using this or having tasted it before, I jump in with this 6-box order. But before it gets here, I go to Publix and buy ONE box for nearly FIVE bucks!! Do the math here. I buy one box for five bucks at the local grocery store and I got six boxes for a bit over $18.... I'm sure you can see where the better deal is. BUT that said - I would recommend doing it that way for a couple of reasons: 1) you get to try a box out to see how your body will react and whether or not you can even stomach the taste, 2) following thru with step one ensures you don't end up with a case of tea bags that will sit in your pantry forever unused. I make my first cup and can't put it down! This stuff tastes doggone good for a weed! To me, it almost has a mild flavor of a coffee with a nutty base. Some call it 'bitter.' I'm not sure I get that in tasting it. Maybe a bit dry, like a smooth dry wine - but I don't get the 'bitter.' I needed no sweetner - which is amazing in itself. But if you prefer sweeter, then use agave or stevia, otherwise you're sort of defeating the purpose. So far? In two days I have eliminated nearly 3.5lbs of water weight. What a relief. If you're using this as a diuretic, the benefit of this over that of a prescribed diuretic is the dandelion CONTAINS potassium whereas the prescribed diuretic depleats your system of it. But still, make sure you're drinking water in addition to taking this. Yes, this stuff aids in digestion AND elimination. I have recently 'acquired' pustular psoriasis on my hands and feet, so if this is a good liver detox then it will benefit the skin. I'm waiting to see how long it takes and the effect. I have experienced NO ill side effects. As for shipping and packaging - I have Prime so it was fast. Packaging was neat and clean. Came USPS and fit in my mailbox. I would definitely recommend this product. If you'll research it and find out what it can do, buy one box at the store & give it a try. Stay away from big brother pharma during research. If they can't patent it or corner it on the market & make their billions, then they most likely won't have anything good to say. Also stay away from so-called research sites that have a product to sell.... There is plenty of legit information out there that doesn't require a second mortgage on your house... A note of caution- if you're allergic to ragweed, it is not recommended

Good for your liver. My past couple blood tests for my physicals were showing borderline elevated levels of liver enzymes and CRP, so I was in search for some natural cleansing remedies. I believe this tea helped me. I have not yet recieved another blood test to confirm, but I do feel more energy at work. Whether or not its psychological, it works in my favor. As for CRP levels, it was a sign of inflammation in the body and I knew exactly where the pain was (my hands and feet). I have also been drinking Moringa tea (also recommended) but as far as I know the painful inflammation is almost gone. Before the tea, I was using prescription anti-inflammatory painkillers but now have put a hold on the medicine since I am feeling better. Was it the tea? Maybe, but the good part is that I'm not relying on meds. Only time will tell, but for those in doubt, this is a tea very well worth the investment if you are looking for a natural remedy of sorts. The taste and aroma is best described as nutty, kind of like roasted peanut brittle with hints of tahini or sesame. What I like about this tea is that the longer you let it brew the more robust the flavor and nutrients extracted. This way, I can just leave the tea bag in the kettle as I boil the water and also in my tea pot, unlike other teas like green tea which gets real bitter if you steep it too long. UPDATE 3.29.2012 *********** Since my first purchase, I have tried another brand, Alvita Tea Bags, Dandelion Root (Roasted), Caffeine Free, 30 tea bags (Pack of 3) and have found Traditional Medicinals better to my liking. It provides a more richer flavor and a smoother aftertaste in my experience. Plus, each tea bag is individually wrapped for freshness and includes the draw string. I find the best time to enjoy this tea is early in the day. The bold, robust flavor of this tea seems to trick my body into thinking its coffee. I can drink to my heart's desire (or perhaps liver) and not have to worry about caffeine. It's a greay way to get that invigorating fresh brew without the jitters

I have officially gone off my diuretic prescribed for high blood pressure because of this tea!! It works like a charm!!! I had been in the hospital for 3 days and was allowed nothing by mouth....not even water. So during that time I also wasn't given my blood pressure meds. I came home and wanted to start working on my natural remedies instead of going back on my meds. After a total of about 4 or 5 days without my diuretic, I had gained 10 lbs of water weight!! (I also wasn't allowed any food during this period, so I know the weight gain had to be water.) So, after my first 2 cups of Dandelion tea, it started working. I lost 5 lbs of water weight in one day!!! I've had at least one cup of Dandelion tea every day since then and not only did I loose all the water weight after 3 days, but it's stayed off and no swelling of my ankles or anything. So this is it for me....I will never go back on a diuretic again! (I had 2 cups a day for the first week or so, now down to one for maintenance.) As far as taste, some people say it is bitter. I don't find it bitter at all. I do find it to taste like a very strong black tea. I don't add sugar to it because I really don't feel I need to....I was used to drinking tea with no sugar already. But if you find it too strong I'm sure a little bit of Stevia would be enough to take the edge off

I chose this brand because of its high quality tea and fair trade policy. I had one cup and discovered I don't like the taste. So in my pantry sat 6 boxes of tea. Then, over a period of a couple months, I started getting unexplained, gradually increasing pain everywhere. It was soft tissue pain, joint pain, foot pain, and swelling in my legs. It was in my arms, my legs, my hands and my feet and my coccyx. And there was no identifiable cause. I did my best to figure it out and the stuff i did helped: shoe inserts, compression stockings and sleeves, elevating my feet, sitting on pillows while i drove, paying close attention to my sleeping position, guided meditation while I slept, quitting junk food, changing my workouts. Everything I did helped some of the pain some of the time. Sometimes I was winning, sometimes I was losing. But I was most definitely scared about what was happening to my body because I was always, always hurting. The mornings were the worst, sometimes I'd be near tears from feeling helpless to fix it. So, I figured I try the ginger tea for its anti inflammatory and circulation boosting properties. Another tool in my anti pain toolbox. I had started intermittent fasting, so for dinner I had a double strength (2 tea bags) cup of the tea. I didn't like the taste at all, but drank it anyway. The next day I woke up in less pain. I couldn't be sure if it was a coincidence. But I definitely had decreased pain most of the day. I drank the tea for dinner again. The next day i definitely had even further reduction of all over pain. 3rd night. Tea for dinner. 3rd morning I woke up to NO pain. I could walk, reach, stretch all without pain. My pain level during the day has gone from a range of 4-8 out of 10, to a range of 0-4, with mostly 2s and 3s! I 100% believe that combining intermittent fasting with this high quality ginger tea is the reason why I'm finally winning this fight against the pain. Tonight is night number 4. I just had my tea for dinner. I feel so much joy and confidence that tomorrow will be a day of low pain, so I'm here to review this product out of gratefulness

I bought the spearmint tea when I read it could help with hormonal acne. I just turned 37. For the past few years, with ovulation and menstruation, I get unsightly, painful pimples on my neck, right front and center. They take forever to go away. I've gone through 1 1/2 boxes of this stuff - I brew it hot in a 16oz mason jar, let it sit overnight and drink it first thing in the AM - and this cycle not only did I have ZERO pimples on my neck (some elsewhere, so it's not a miracle...) but my skin, overall, looks brighter and my pores seem clearer. It has also helped with my mild heartburn AND no longer am I Ms. Farts-a-lot (it's a family curse...). For every 1 fart my partner had, I had 20. But that issue seems to have disappeared! Don't get me wrong, I still get the farts when I lie down for bed and first thing in the AM and after meals, but my chronic daily gas is gone. Phew

My husband and I have been trying to conceive since March of this year. Unfortunately, after few months of unsuccessful attempts, I went to my OBGYN. Ran a few test, I was diagnosed with PCOS. I would have never guessed. My progesterone levels were a 5. My OBGYN, prescribed Clomid 100mg (2, 50mg tablets) to see if it would boost ovulation. Clomid did it's job to help me ovulate, but still no luck with BFP. I went off Clomid in October. I researched which herbal teas could help naturally with ovulation. After reading about speartmint I decided to try it for December. The tea arrived Dec. 8th, I had a cup that night. I drank 2 cups a day (afternoon and bedtime) until Dec. 16th. My cycle was suppose to begin Dec. 17th, to my surprise no cramping or bloatedness. Monday, my cycle still had not come. I took a home PT there to my husband and I surprise a positive pregnancy test. I do believe the spearmint tea helped to regulate my hormones, therefore we were able to conceive. I prefer natural remedies over prescription meds. Give it a try. Also I was very relaxed after drinking spearmint tea. Will continue drinking after pregnancy

My Husband has tried to stop drinking so much coffee because of the caffeine. He loves his morning coffee and really didn't want to change anything. Because so many of the teas also have caffeine, he has gone to herbal teas and has tried a LOT of them. Most of them he really doesn't like. When he tried the Dandelion Root tea, he found it to be closer to the coffee taste than any tea he has tried so far. That doesn't mean this tastes like coffee, it just has a very slight coffee taste. It is one of the few teas he is willing to drink daily. He not only drinks this hot, but also iced. Sometimes he even puts honey and milk with it. My Dad told me years ago, during the depression, people would drink dandelion root tea because they couldn't get coffee. I don't know how true that is... but I believe it. One thing I do know, digging dandelion roots is a lot of work. Buy this in bulk is so much easier and I like the fact that the tea bags come prewrapped for freshness. Some health benefits are.... Dandelion is used for loss of appetite, upset stomach, intestinal gas, gallstones, joint pain, muscle aches, eczema, and bruises. Dandelion is also used to increase urine production and as a laxative to increase bowel movements. It is also used as skin toner, blood tonic, and digestive tonic

This tea was originally recommended by a naturopath/nutritionist, and the reasons are lost in the mists of time. It was undoubtedly because this would be good for my health, and I'm all for that. But long after I've forgotten what part of my health it's supposed to support, I continue drinking Traditional Medicinals Organic Nettle Leaf Tea because I really like it. I love tea, especially black tea. But the tannins can wreak havoc on an empty stomach, and if it's close to bedtime, the caffeine of regular tea is not kind. So I'll have some of this brew (and sometimes I'll steep some peppermint with it), and I find it satisfies that jones for tea, it's soothing, and it's delicious. As for my health, I used to get some malady every few months--cold, flu, bronchitis. I think it's been over a year since a respiratory plague of any sort has taken hold. I don't know if the nettle leaf tea has anything to do with it or not. It certainly hasn't hurt. I love things that are bad for me--junk food, brandy, binge-watching Game of Thrones--but Traditional Medicinals Organic Nettle Leaf Tea is such an almost-guilty pleasure, I keep drinking it despite all of its positive qualities

I absolutely love this tea. I've repurchased many many times and I love how it's organic and all the wonderful benefits you get from drinking this tea. The taste is not terrible, especially if you put honey in it, but I drink it plain and it's fine. Obviously it's not going to taste as good as drinking a soda or anything but I buy this for the health benefits, not the taste. I originally got this to detoxify because I have been suffering from terrible acne breakouts (cystic as well as inflamed acne and clogged pores) and after 3 weeks of having 2 cups of tea a day my skin has really improved. I haven't gotten any new pimples since drinking this and I honestly just feel healthier. I let it steep for at least 10 minutes, sometimes even up to half an hour when I forget (the longer you steep the better, but the flavor will get stronger and more bitter). It's recommended to cover the cup while steeping to produce a potent tea. This is a tea I'm constantly going to have in my rotation and I've already recommended it to numerous friends. One thing to note is this tea is a diuretic so it's important to drink a lot of water while drinking this tea. If I don't drink a lot of water while drinking this I do notice that my skin gets drier.
