Biotin therapy improves hair growth
Biotinidase deficiency characterized by skin and hair findings.
Most Relevant Research
We explored the effects of biotin treatment on hair loss through a case study of a girl diagnosed with biotinidase deficiency. Despite having no notable family history of the condition, her symptoms included problematic dermatitis, yellow hair, and alopecia.

After identifying low levels of biotinase and significant metabolic increases, the girl was found to have two specific mutations in her BTD gene linked to this deficiency. Following the diagnosis, we observed a clear response to biotin supplementation, with an initial dosage of 20 mg per day.

Remarkably, her dermatitis improved within a month, and her hair color returned to normal after three months of treatment. These findings suggest that biotin replacement therapy can have significant positive outcomes in cases related to biotinidase deficiency, connecting biotin to effective hair restoration.

Stopped hair loss
Most Useful Review
If I could give 20 stars, I would! This is my second bottle, and I hesitated initially due to mixed reviews. After taking four daily for over a month, hair loss has stopped 99%. Previously, running my fingers through my hair resulted in a handful of strands; now, I lose just 0-2. New hair growth is also noticeable! Despite concerns about acne, I had no issues. Overall, these gummies are fantastic, taste great, and I will continue to order them!

Biotin's potential in acne treatment
Biotin: overview of the treatment of diseases of cutaneous appendages and of hyperseborrhea.
Most Relevant Research
We explored the effectiveness of biotin as a treatment for acne, focusing on its potential benefits for those experiencing skin issues linked to biotin deficiency. Biotin is a vitamin that, when levels are low, can contribute to hair loss and skin disorders like seborrheic dermatitis.

In our overview, we noted that while biotin may help improve hair loss, its impact on acne treatment shows promise primarily when combined with other therapies, particularly topical retinoids. These treatments address not just acne but also flaking and irritation commonly associated with skin conditions.

Overall, we found that biotin's role in managing acne is intriguing, especially given its excellent tolerability and safety, even at high doses. However, we emphasize that biotin should be taken under medical supervision following a proper diagnosis.

Fabulous hair and nails
Most Useful Review
In preparation for my upcoming wedding, I wanted to improve my hair and nails. Despite concerns about biotin causing acne, I took the risk. Thankfully, I’m starting my second bottle and have not experienced any acne from it. I believe my hair has grown longer, and my nails are less prone to breakage.
