My 3 Year Old Actually Asks to go to Bed Now!

I was hesitant to start giving my 3-year old melatonin, even though I personally have had some great results with it. However, his nighttime shenanigans were getting out of hand. No matter how tired he was, he fought bed time hard. We have had a solid bedtime routine in place since he was an infant, but once he transitioned from crib to bed, he would keep coming out of his room and cry to come downstairs for a solid hour, with the cries often escalating to full blown screaming. His pediatrician recommended this product in particular, as she uses it successfully with her own kids. We've been using it for a month now, and he literally asks to go to bed. Even if we skip a night, bedtime is much smoother as it's re-set the routine. Bedtime is back to being a happy experience for all involved. Quick disclaimer - this will not help your children stay asleep, this is only meant to help them fall asleep

NOT A CHILDPROOF LID ON THE BOTTLE

I've been a happy customer of these melatonin tablets for almost a year. I even opened a monthly subscription with Zarbee's specifically for these melatonin tabs through Amazon. Never had a problem, until this morning. I received my package last night, but I don't use it every day and didn't want to open the box. I tucked it away, no concerns at all. Like I've said, i'm a frequent buyer and haven't had any problems. The bottle had not been taken out of its box yet. It's always had a child safety lid and seal, as well the bit of cotton and silica packet to preserve freshness. Well, kids sometimes wake up before their parents, and climb to places they haven't been to before. I know my kids LOVE the grape flavor of these tablets. How my kids reached and opened cabinet has me questioning my own choice in the child lock I use. Anyway, fast forward to 10am... why am I only just getting out of bed? It must be a miracle! Even the kids are asleep! 11am rolls around and decide to wake my kids, it's been long enough. It was tough to get them up... and They were both incredibly groggy and had diarrhea. That's when I noticed the ripped open Zarbee's box, the opened (and completely empty) bottle, shreds of cotton, and that nice foil seal. That “child proof” lid? Came right off. No problem for them, apparently. They ate most of the bottle. I'm still asking my kids where they put the tablets, but they're cranky and sleepy and still pooping quite a bit So far i've only found 7 untouched tablets. Luckily they are fine, and I will now be far more vigilant about Zarbee's definition of “child proof”. Again, the box wasn't open, the bottle was still inside and untouched. I had no reason to think that A) they could (or would want) to reach the cabinet to snack on these OR B) Ever be able to open it. My mind is blown. Great product, but the packaging is not as child safe as I thought. Hopefully this was a freak accident. For all I know the bottle could've been tampered with beforehand, but it was still in its box so I will never know. Anyway, lesson learned. New locks. Different cabinet, and no more Zarbee's. Kids will always test limits and cause mischief, but they never should have been able to open the bottle. Not safe. Not at all

It seems awesome but my daughter seems oddly WAY too relaxed

A month ago we moved our 2.5 year old to a bed and since then it's been a nightmare keeping her in her room. Bedtime and naps have become something we dread. My daughter would take over an hour to settle down mostly from screaming and not wanting to stay in her bed, waking up countless times at night and then waking somewhat early. Out of desperation I looked for a child's melatonin and read the reviews for this. This is the second night I gave it to her. Last night she woke up 1x and then woke for good at 4 am. No bueno. Tonight she was out again as soon as we were done with our bedtime routine. So it's either an amazing product or there is something more in here that is drugging my child. I gave it to her one hour before bedtime which is too soon after experiencing two nights of this because within 30 min she becomes very relaxed, and very tired. Almost a different child because it's like going from a wild child to someone who is stoned. So while I want to be enthusiastically excited about this, at the same time I am kinda nervous that there is more in the pills. I noticed it says Sleep with Melatonin so in the back of my head I thought 'is there something else that's not on the ingredient list'. I couldn't find anything else on the label. So the jury is still out. If I wasn't always concerned about what's in supplements I'd easily say this is a miracle supplement for my daughter to get her over this transition hurdle. But I think as a test, I'm going to take one myself and see what it does. I take a high dosage of melatonin and it does nothing for me so if this makes me drowsy then I know something else is in there that they aren't advertising. Stay tuned! *****Update - I still use this and cut it down to 1/2 a pill. It still relaxes her especially on night's where she's super wound up. The downside is she always wakes early in the morning when we give it to her. I'm still going to use it though

Works well on Autistic 3yr old boy

Our son is 3yrs old and has Autism. We don't give this every night to our son, but sometimes we give him one pill on days that he wasn't as active, or on those restless nights that he can't fall asleep. It used to take him about one hour of kicking, mumbling, getting out of bed, rolling on bed etc. to fall asleep. At first we tried not to give him any sleep aid, however our doctor said it was OK to give him Melatonin if he can't fall asleep in less than half and hour and has trouble deep sleeping. It's best if you give the child the pill at the start of the bedtime rutine, this way the effects has time to work it's way through their system and they can fall right to sleep once they are in bed. It takes my son about 30mins to fall asleep and he is 40lbs. This pill has been a life saver. Our son used to get up in the middle of the night, sometimes at 2am, 3 am or 4am and won't fall back to sleep or would fall back asleep in two hours. Later in the day he wouldn't be able to concentrate or go to preschool because he was too tired to wake up from being up all night

Saved my relationship with my grand kids.

I hardly give reviews unless the product is extraordinary or subpar because in those two cases it's worth my time to drop some lines. This product falls into the extraordinary category because I tried countless other products (even adult products. Yes im ashamed but I did because my grand kids were driving me insane staying up til the wee wee hours in the morning when my two sons brought their kids over). I was on the verge of not allowing them to spend the night because they just wouldn't fall asleep until 2 or 3am in the morning when they'd come visit me every other weekend. It's absolutely imperative that I have my sleep. Before I declared they could no longer sleep over because of their insomnia issues, I decided to come here as my one last final resort and I bought this product with absolutely no expectations it would work. I just wanted to say I tried before i cut overnighters out with the kids. The next weekend, the kids came over, i gave it to the kids at 9:30pm and they were out like a light in exactly 1hr. I just thought maybe they were extremely tired since we had a very full day of activities. 2nd weekend same scenario except we didn't do many activities due to inclimate weather. 3rd weekend same scenario and a moderate day of activities. Without a shadow of doubt, At that point i knew it was these pills because in exactly 60 min after giving it to them, they are out like a light fast asleep when that was absolutely unheard of before trying these pills . I greatly thank this company for helping to save my weekend sleep overs with my grandchildren because now we can continue to create wonderful memories together with their sleep overs since they will go to bed now with ease within 1 hour of me giving them this product. No more anxiety about worrying about when they will ever go to sleep. No more sleepless weekend nights that gave me a bad start to my week days because of my sleepless hyperactive grandchildren keeping me up all night long. Saved my life !

Mirical is a bottle ! I dont know where to start. We dod a whole pill first time and 5 min later he was asleep. We tried 1/4 pill next and ot made him sleepy bit kinda cranky sleepy. Now i am doing 1/2 for nap and 1/2 for bed. Today I didnt even need one for nap and i think by tomorrow i wont need one for bed. My son never slept well. Way beyond normal. Beside wjen he was a new born he wouldnt nap. Hes get tired and wobble walk and fall bit would shake his hed to stay awake. Long walks .. 40 min car rides..nothing made him nap and bed time too hrs and he would wake often. Toss and turn till he woke himself over and over. Its been maybe a week since using this product and im amazed! Some nights he might wake once but we can get him back to sleep. Hes about to turn 3. This is magic!

Our three and half year old has had a problem with falling and staying asleep since she was born. We literally tried everything in the book: Cry it out = failed Oils = failed Diffuser = failed No electronics = failed Reading = failed Bedtime routine became a nighttime battle, lasting 1.5 hours (on the rare times we are lucky) to 3.5/4 hours. She would use every excuse to fight sleep. At our wits end, we decided to try melatonin and bought this one. The past three days have been the easiest bedtime routine ever. We'd give her a pill an hour before the desired bedtime and thirty minutes later she'd express a desire to go to bed. We'd tuck her in and the first thing we observed is the restlessness that had been the signature of bedtimes past was gone. 15 to 30 minutes later, she's asleep. She now wakes up once a night but goes straight back to sleep. This is definitely a magic drug

Nothing compares

This is a sanity saver. My 7 year old has a hard time winding down to go to bed at night. One magic pill, and she is out within 20 minutes. She is easy (well, as easy as waking a 7 year old to go to school) to wake in the morning, and isn't groggy at all. She reports no side effects, and I have noticed none as well. It does not appear to be habit forming, as we don't use it every night. She doesn't love the flavor, but hello, sleep. She calls them her purple pills, which then makes me have that D12 song in my head, which, unfortunately is not a great lullaby. *Edit - I've started giving her half a pill instead of a whole one, and that is working well

Lifesaver! These are GREAT!

Love these little pills! My grandson couldn't shut down to go to sleep..... this kid would go all day with no nap and still be going strong at midnight! He's 3 years old! He would tell me he couldn't sleep, he has too much energy. I was sceptical but hopeful. The first night I told him I got him some sleepy pills so he could go to sleep easy. He ate the pill with no problem n said yum. Within 15 minutes he was in bed and asleep, all before 9pm! Wow! Is this for real? Next night at 8:15pm he said he was tired and needed his pill. He was out cold by 8:30pm. He wakes up refreshed with no drowsy or dragging effects. He loves his sleepy pills. Downfall... after taking them for about a week he doesn't like the taste anymore! The Pros.... he knows how well they work at giving him restful sleep that he takes the pills even though he doesn't like the taste. He still asks for his sleepy pill so he can have "good dreams" I am one happy nana with one very happy little grandson ðŸ˜€ We will be ordering more ðŸ˜

Worked for us

My 3 year old used to have a lot of difficulty falling asleep almost like her brain couldn't shut off. She would be rolling around or talking for 2 hours before finally falling asleep. It would be after 10pm before she finally settled down regardless of what time we started bedtime. I was really weary about giving her something but I have always liked the Zarbee brand so figured I could give this a try. The first night it immediately started working. We did our bedroom routine and within 30 minutes she fell right asleep. She takes it consistently every night at the same time and now goes to sleep at a much more reasonable time. We cut the pills in 1/2 so she isn't even taking a full mg and it works great
