Totally worth it! We flew on a plane with our 18 month old and gave him about 1/8 to 1/4 of a dose and he SLEPT the whole time and woke up happy! Read More...I was hesitant to use Melatonin with my Autistic son, but after hearing a lot of positives about Zarbees brand, I decided to purchase it. I started off with a .5mL (half dose) for my 5 year old. Works like a charm. Bedtime went from 2-3 hours of tossing and turning to 30 minutes...which is a huge deal when the kid needs sleep to feel rested and happy! I am hoping to just use it very short term ( a week or so) to hopefully help naturally adjust his sleep pattern. Taste isn't great, in my opinion, but he doesn't seem to mind. It's also a thick liquid, so I swapped out the syringe for a dropper because it was easier to get an accurate dose. I would love if it came with a dropper instead of syringe in the future
Read More...I have a different situation than most parents. My son is a “gtube baby” and about to turn 3soon. He has been hospitalized ost of his life and has never slept well since birth. We administer this via his gastrointestinal tube directly into his stomach with about 2mls's of Zarbees with a 3ml water flush(based on your childs weight). It absorbs within a few minutes and he begins to fall asleep. Granted my son is not the normal as he is1 of 5 in the world with a specific genetic condition. This Zarbees starts him sleeping but NEVER keeps him asleep. That is not Zarbees fault as our son wakes throughout the night from pain, this is only to start the sleep process. We as parents know this so if you have a “tubie baby” like we do, this is very safe and is specifically recommended for use on them via his hospital care team. The oral suspension is perfect! A melatonin pill crushed up can cause clogging of the tube fyi so this is the recommended route if you have a child with a Gtube. This was purchased at a great price and was shipped STUPID FAST! Read More...This stuff works LIKE A CHARM!! My 5 year old has severe anxiety and has to take Zoloft and even without a nap, her mind races until midnight most nights! I couldn't get her to take the melatonin gummies but I'm able to put this in her milk and she doesn't taste it at all! It does taste bad, but not mixed with milk. She has been Going to sleep within an hour of taking this. Last night she was asleep by 8:30pm!!! It is unreal! I hope this stuff continues working for her! So she can have good days at school w/out being tired! I love that it's natural ingredients and doesn't give her a “fog” the next day!!! Read More...My son is autistic and sleep used to be a BIG problem for us. He would stay up til 1am or later every night and have to get up for school at 7am. He never took naps. None of us were sleeping. He was aggressive and violent. It was horrible. I tried using Benadryl but it's not meant to be for sleep and he built a tolerance to it anyway. Finally I tried this at the suggestion of a friend and it was like a miracle. We have been using it every night for probably a year now and it's amazing. We haven't seen any side effects and he is asleep about 30 min after taking it, like clockwork, and sleeps through the night. It has saved us. The taste could be better, (it has a strange warmth to it), but easily masked in a drink, which we have to do anyway with him. I've tried other brands, but this one works the best for him. I've always been so skeptical about doing any sleep aid but then realized if it's going to help our baby shine brighter then ever and get the sleep he needs then let's try it. Read More...My daughter is autistic and has never gone to bed when I put her in her room. She lays down and then gets up to bang her stuffies on the bed for close to two hours. It's her routine and she definitely knows what she's doing even though we don't! Once she got to her 3rd birthday, I decided to give this a try. I only use half of the amount they say. 0.5 mL. Within 30 minutes, she is passed out until morning. It's WONDERFUL. We have experienced our night terror however. There's only been one in over a month but it's pretty upsetting. If it happens again, I've been told to try magnesium. Until then, I'm staying on this. My boyfriend actually purchased the adult gummies as well. For the autistic parents... it didn't take long for us to notice her making more eye contact and listening to us. She's actually started imitating us a bit this past month as well! She does a lot of therapy and is getting older so I can't say for certain it's the melatonin but this all started happening the same week we started it. (I'd honestly attribute it more to the extra sleep over anything else). I'd definitely give it a try and see what you find out

Read More...I'm doing this review at 2:43 as I see my 3yo having the worst night of his life. My son has autism and a hard time going to sleep at night. His developmental pediatrician recommended melatonin and the one I use to give is 3x more expensive and less potent. It's a powder formulated specifically for kids Unfortunately it was out of stock and after a few weeks I had to try something new. This is literally the third time I give this melatonin to my son, he was moving frenetically and scratching himself all over. He literally started screaming and crying while moving his arms and legs forcefully. He's itching everywhere. I'm crying right now and I'm DESPERATE what the h*** did I just give to my son? This should be permanently banned from Amazon. This is extremely dangerous. Please don't allow this to happen to your child too. I'm never coming back to this. My whole family lived a real nightmare tonight which I'll never forget. I'm so sad right now. This is infuriating
