I was relieved to read in The Vitamin Solution by Dr. Holick that vitamin D2 was as effective as D3. As a vegan, this is very important to me. So, I tested it out. Before taking this supplement, I had my blood checked for vitamin D levels and it was around 40. I took this vitamin D2 and raised my levels to 80 in about 7 months. Great product
Read More...OMG, I feel like I am spamming DEVA with 5 star reviews LOL. I love the DEVA brand and this supplement is no expectation. It is very tiny and easy to swallow (even without water, which you probably shouldn't lol). Vitamin d2 specifically is the one my doctor nags me constantly for not getting enough of to the extreme that she wrote me a prescription for it. So now, I just take these instead in combination with their other supplements. I swear I am not sponsored by Deva (as of yet, but waiting lol) but I genuinely love their brand, the products, safe packaging, true to label ingredients, and I would recommend these to Vegans, Carnivores, and whoever just want clean supplements. Read More...I live in the NW where there is little sunshine and I'm also vegan. In the past year I started getting dizziness, weak muscles, insulin sensitivity, and decreased mental awareness. I felt like I was dying. My physician tested my vitamin D levels and my levels were so low that the test couldn't detect any! After taking a high-dose prescription I started taking 5 pills of this stuff daily. I feel so much better, I can now do normal daily activities! This stuff is truly a life saver
Read More...Small and easy to swallow. Great quality vitamins, as they have no GMO's, preservatives, sugar, yeast, gluten, wheat, or salt! They are plant and mineral based only, so your body can absorb them better than synthetic vitamins. Deva is a great brand with high quality vitamins. I am very happy with this product

Read More...It's good and hard to find a high-dose, one pill vitamin D2 supplement that isn't extremely expensive. Glad this one is around. It would be a better supplement if the "other ingredients" list was shorter. Also, I think the packaging is way too big for the size of the product. A smaller (preferably glass) bottle would be better
Read More...i live in the northwest where vitamin d deficiency is very common but just about the only thing on the store shelves in d3 - thank goodness for amazon! i'm a vegetarian but eat vegan as much as i can so i try to get vegan supplements whenever possible. i don't notice any difference between taking d3 and d2, and most of the research i've read either suggests they are equally effective or is inconclusive. these pills are a little hard to swallow because they aren't coated in anything so make sure you drink a good amount of fluid when you take these

So I looked high and low for a D2 supplement. This has kept me stable after dropping the high dose medication. I now use this as a daily supplement and I haven't been happier
Read More...Various doctors keep trying to force D3 on my husband, who has been a vegan for more than 20 years. D3 is, of course, a slaughterhouse product, and we are not pathetic enough to cause suffering to other animals in order to preserve our own health. Update: My husband's D level, which was in the teens, was just checked. It is now 64, which is wonderful, and his doctor recommended that we drop back to a lower dose for maintenance. She said that the 2400 IU level was good for boosting the numbers, but a lower dose should be used for maintaining his now-great level. We'll be switching to Deva's 800 IU D2 when this bottle runs out. Just a great, great line of vitamins
