We explored how quercetin, a natural compound found in fruits and vegetables, can impact asthma symptoms. Using an ovalbumin-induced mouse model of asthma, we aimed to uncover whether quercetin can help inhibit a process known as ferroptosis, potentially offering a new therapeutic approach for asthma sufferers.

Our findings showed that quercetin effectively reduced inflammation in the asthmatic mice. Specifically, it lowered levels of inflammatory factors such as IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13—substances typically elevated during an asthma attack. Notably, we also observed that quercetin increased the levels of superoxide dismutase, an important antioxidant, while decreasing malondialdehyde and ferric ions that are associated with oxidative stress.

Additionally, quercetin appeared to boost the expression of key proteins involved in defending against oxidative stress, specifically SIRT1, Nrf2, and HO-1. This suggests that quercetin not only helps combat inflammation but may also protect against cellular damage within the lungs. Overall, our study indicates that quercetin holds promise as a beneficial treatment for asthma by addressing both inflammatory and oxidative stress pathways.

I discarded my inhalers! This product is genuinely miraculous. Initially sceptical, having suffered from asthma for 26 years, I started the pills and only took two in the evening. I slept well without waking up wheezing. After a few days, I increased to two more in the morning, and it did wonders! I now take 2 pills twice daily and no longer need to think about my inhaler. I couldn't be happier with this product.

We explored the effects of quercetin, a natural compound, on gout arthritis induced by monosodium urate (MSU) crystals. Our research specifically looked at how quercetin alleviates pain and inflammation associated with gout while examining its interaction with naloxone, a substance known to block opioid receptors.

Mice were treated with quercetin, and we assessed their pain sensitivity from 1 to 24 hours post-MSU injection. Our observations included evaluating the recruitment of white blood cells, levels of inflammatory cytokines, oxidative stress, and activation of certain molecular pathways in the knee joints, all measured at 24 hours after the MSU was introduced.

The results were promising: quercetin effectively reduced MSU-induced pain, inflammation, and related oxidative stress. Notably, the presence of naloxone seemed to negate these benefits, indicating that quercetin's effects are linked to opioid pathways. These findings suggest that quercetin could be a valuable therapeutic option for managing gout symptoms, highlighting its dual role as both an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent.

This study explored how quercetin may help reduce inflammation associated with sinusitis using a rat model. We observed that introducing lipopolysaccharides (LPS) caused significant inflammation in nasal and sinus areas, as well as in the lungs and brain.

When we administered quercetin after the LPS treatment, it notably decreased inflammatory markers like TNF-α and IL-6. The results indicated reduced inflammation in nasal and lung tissues, showcasing quercetin's potential benefits. However, while there were encouraging findings, its effects on brain inflammation were more limited.

I developed chronic sinusitis due to Eustachian tube dysfunction linked to allergies. After frequent doctor visits and antibiotics, I sought natural alternatives. Since trying this product, I haven't experienced sinusitis or clogged ears, and it effectively clears my nose when I feel symptoms arising. I'm hopeful it will continue to work during pollen season as it did through winter. However, be cautious about dosage, especially with bromelain.

We observed that quercetin, a powerful antioxidant, plays a significant role in helping grapes withstand cold temperatures. In our study, we found that grapes exposed to low temperatures accumulate more quercetin, which in turn enhances their cold resistance.

By applying exogenous quercetin, we noted a marked improvement in the grapes' ability to endure low-temperature stress. Our research revealed that a key gene, VvFLS1, responsible for quercetin synthesis is upregulated when grapes experience cold conditions.

We also discovered that VvbZIP22, a protein that binds to the VvFLS1 promoter, is crucial for mediating this process. When we overexpressed VvbZIP22 in grapes, it resulted in higher levels of quercetin and improved cold resistance, further confirming its pivotal role in the plant's adaptation to harsh environments.

Through these findings, we highlighted the importance of quercetin in enhancing grape survival during cold spells, showcasing a vital link between plant biology and climate resilience.

Currently taking these for headaches, what I call migraine headaches and my doctor labels tension headaches. I've struggled with headaches for years and usually took Advil, which helped somewhat but never fully alleviated the headache. Recently, I've experienced powerful headaches on both sides of my head. I've discovered that taking one or two of these at the onset seems to stop my headaches completely. I must note some dry mouth and increased urination, but I find this product effective.

We explored the effects of quercetin, a natural compound with potential benefits for treating osteoarthritis (OA), specifically focusing on its ability to target damaged chondrocytes, the cartilage cells that play a crucial role in joint health. In our study, we utilized specialized nanoparticles to increase the effectiveness of quercetin, overcoming its usual limitations related to absorption and bioavailability.

Our research involved subjecting human chondrocytes to conditions that mimic OA. Afterward, we treated them with either free quercetin or our quercetin-loaded nanoparticles (Q-NP). We found that the Q-NP not only allowed for better cellular absorption but also selectively induced apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in senescent chondrocytes. This is significant because eliminating these unhealthy cells could pave the way for healthier joint repair and function.

In addition to promoting cell death in the right cells, Q-NP led to an increase in oxidative stress and reduced key markers of cellular aging. We also noted that the treatment halted the cell cycle in cells that needed to be eliminated. Overall, our findings suggest that enhancing quercetin delivery through nanoparticles holds great promise for improving osteoarthritis outcomes by actively removing harmful senescent cells from joint tissues.

Works Wonders. I've been taking this supplement along with turmeric of the same brand for arthritis in my knee. A week ago, I couldn't walk without crutches, but today I'm going to dance class. It took a couple of weeks to see results, but this product works wonders.

We uncovered how quercetin, alongside a specialized compound called PSFL2915, affects chronic cough by interacting with a specific part of a receptor known as P2X3.

Our tests showed that quercetin could effectively reduce coughing in male mice and guinea pigs without causing taste disturbances—a drawback seen with other similar medications.

This suggests that quercetin could be a promising alternative to existing treatments for chronic cough, offering a potential new avenue for relief.

We conducted a study involving 66 Japanese adults suffering from allergy symptoms, focusing on the potential of a quercetin-containing supplement. Participants took either the supplement or a placebo daily for four weeks.

Notable results showed that those taking quercetin experienced significant improvements in allergy-related symptoms such as eye itching, sneezing, and nasal discharge. Additionally, their overall quality of life received a boost.

While there were minor side effects, the findings suggest that quercetin might be an effective option for managing certain allergy symptoms.

No more sinusitis and Eustachian tube dysfunction. I had chronic sinusitis caused by a dysfunctional Eustachian tube due to allergies. My ears felt full, and my hearing was muffled. After years of antibiotics and feeling weighed down by allergy pills, I sought alternatives. After trying this product, I’ve experienced great results over the past few months—no more sinusitis or ear fullness. If my nose starts to clog up, I take the product, and it clears my sinuses. I am optimistic it will work well during pollen season too. However, caution is advised for those with kidney issues and regarding long-term usage of bromelain.
