I scrutinize packaging and product pages, so bear with me as this may clarify something for you.
Information on my packaging is exact same as what is shown in the product pictures to the left of the page. I understand THIS to be accurate. But if you look down the page under "Important Information" which shows Safety Info, Ingredients, Legal Disclaimer.. not much is listed for ingredients, and the "other ingredients" is just wrong. That written portion also says that it contains wheat, but my box (and their pics) show "gluten free". Frankly I would ignore that as I took a closer look at what might have happened. I looked at the OTHER Airborne offerings on this page (they show FOUR side by side), and it appears to be referring to the CHEWABLES, not this product. The written information in section I mention and the information on the chewables product page/packaging is the same. So I conclude that it is an editing mistake on their part, and hopefully they will edit it soon. In mean time, take a look at the PICTURE of the effervescent tablets, and all the ingredients are listed (which is exact same as what I have). What my package says directly lines up with what they show in their pictures, and that is what I would ultimately go by.
That all being said.. :)
I love Airborne, and have been using it since it came out so many years ago. I keep tubes of Airborne as part of my cold care kit. I definitely take it at the first sign of a cold, or just when I am feeling run down, or have been around extra germy folks and places, or just for the heck of it. It is loaded with vitamins and minerals, so I have always figured it can't hurt to take it. Even if just a placebo, I have been pleased with the results.
What I love about the Elderberry variety is how extra nice it tastes. I never thought the Airborne tasted bad, mostly just blah, but this is rather pleasant. Super easy to consume. Most recently I filled my water glass about 12 ounces and popped in one of these quarter sized effervescent tablets, then just sipped on it while i sat at my desk. Other times I have used less water and just chugged it as soon as it was doing its fizzing thing.
I've always found the Airborne to be a little low on zinc (2.2 mg/20%), and this still holds true with this variety. I will continue to take my zinc on the side as needed.
Really enjoying this Elderberry flavor. Yum
