I liked this product and have bought it many times over the years from Amazon and other companies, but it's apparently not what the manufacturer claims. Google the company's name and lawsuit and you'll find out that there have been a lot of product analysis tests done and little to no aloe vera was found in this gel. There are far too many, and they are all far too consistent, to attribute this to simply a bad or under-dosed batch. Nearly all reputable companies with quality products make it easy for their customers to contact them with questions, concerns, or complaints. They typically provide toll free phone numbers and email addresses on their websites and on their product's labels. Not this company. Go to their website and you'll find zero contact info. No address, no contact us link, no phone number, no email, nothing. Same on their product containers - nothing. This is a company in hiding instead of standing behinds its products

Must Have For Every Skincare Routine

I've been hunting for a new Aloe Vera Gel, as I stopped purchasing my long time favorite Aloe Gel from Trader Joes. I've been using this Gel now for about a month and I think I'm hooked. It's not greasy at all and dries almost instantly. There's no distinctive scent with this gel, like most Aloes. It is very drying, even with my overly oily skin, so I always recommend a moisturizer over top. I use this morning and night during my skin care routine and BOY does it work wonders. This gel has cleared up my acne so quickly and killed off the biggest of volcanos on my face over night. I use this before makeup application as well and it doesn't have any issue there, unlike some gels that will ball up with most makeup. It does have a really cooling, refreshing feel to it which I love on my skin. The only real con for me is the fact that when applied too closely to the eyes, it can cause a burning, irritated sensation but this is pretty typical for me due to sensitive eyes so it might not happen with someone else. However, this is my new go to Aloe Gel and I've definitely be repurchasing towards summer for potential burns and skin treatment

One of the Best

Fruit of the Earth has been around for, hmm, maybe 30 years? I remember the first time I bought aloe gel it was Fruit of the Earth. That was when aloe gel was the hot new thing. I have an aloe vera plant, too. It's been growing about 20 years. Honestly, I do like the freshly cut leaves better for burns and to help heal skin, but the plant has its drawbacks, too, primarily the fact that when you cut off a leaf, it's going to take time for a new one to grow. And it can get messy, and you have to use it fresh. The fresh aloe gel isn't really like a gel. It's really more like extremely watery mucous. I only use it for first aid, because straight up, the fresh aloe makes my skin feel tight. So, I did some research on the ingredients after I've used this for a while. I noticed when I used it near my eyes, they burned a little. It was nothing major, but I wanted to know what was up. Besides aloe vera, this product contains, pH adjustor, thickeners, stabilizers, preservative (tocopherol), and anti-microbials. I've no intention of writing a thesis, but my research revealed that several ingredients may irritate the eyes. These types of ingredients are required for a uniform product with some shelf life, and protection from yeasty beasties. So don't put it around your eyes, OK? I use it to calm irritated skin. It's cooling on a hot day, and boy, it feels like heaven putting this stuff on your feet at night. I use it to help wounds heal faster, and as an after shave/after epilation. Sometimes I just put it on because I feel like using it. Though I do have the eye irritation that I have to work around, I recommend this. I researched a lot of aloe vera gels on Amazon, and this is the best formulation I could find, bar none. Please note this is not a food grade aloe vera gel

Soothing gel for after radiation treatment

I have never used an Aloe Gel before. I am currently in a course of radiation for breast cancer and the Aloe Gel was recommended to me for after treatment. I smooth it on and it is not "goopy". It dries quickly and helps with the irritation that radiation can cause. I would recommend this product

This Aloe Vera Gel Is Awesome

This Aloe Vera Gel is used by me on my elbows, ankles, feet/toes, belly, butt, ears (behind), and neck. I stay out of the sun so I don't use this for that purpose, but it does keep the areas I mentioned very youthful. However, I purchased this Aloe Vera Gel on AMAZON at a much higher price than I can get at Walmart, hence the 3 stars - not the product. I apologize to the seller, but this item is overpriced on AMAZON. Other than being overpriced, this aloe vera gel is awesome

A Great Makeup Primer

I use aloe vera gel as a makeup primer. Combined with my Aveeno daily moisturizer, it makes my skin dewy and primed for foundation, without drying things out or causing breakouts

Aloe Vera is the first ingredient

I prefer this product over almost every other aloe vera gel. Look at the ingredient list. With most products, the first ingredient is water. The only other aloe vera gel I'll buy is Walgreen's house brand because it also lists aloe vera as the first ingredient. Aloe vera gel is very soothing on sunburn, rashes, insect bites, and after shaving. It is also a great daily moisturizer, and will not make your skin break out. I have oily skin and use this even on my face

always read the ingredients

I recently bought a product labeled Aloe Vera gel from a health food store, on the front it said 100% natural. When i arrived home I was reading the ingredients and aloe vera was the sixth ingredient on the list. I am so glad to have found Fruit of the Earth 100% Aloe Vera Gel. I love it, I add it to my skin cream every day and of course it is great for burns

I like this stuff

I like this stuff. Aside from sunburns, it's also supposedly good for inflammation, acne, moisturizing, and is just generally good for your skin. However, I'm a little disappointed because I bought this here, then saw it in Walmart for nearly half the price
