i use them for everything
I store a lot of foods in the freezer. When the product doesn't require a tight seal, I use these. They are very convenient especially when I have 10-20 one-half-pint-sized square blocks of frozen foods that need to be bagged and stacked. The work goes much more quickly when I don't have to hold open the zipper and wiggle the block of food past it. I also use them a lot when baking. I line a measuring cup with the bag, scoop out shortening to measure it, then reuse the greasy bag to grease the cake pans. I use them for so many things around the house that when my local stores decide that their customers only need ziplock bags, I'm at a loss. That's how I ended up buying them on Amazon
