Genuinely makes a positive difference!
We've been using this product with our developmentally delayed son for 2 years. We were literally at a point of 'nothing to lose'. Upon starting it, he began making efforts to sign and communicate (which he'd previously had no interest in) -which has gained momentum to the point of very intense efforts to verbally communicate, presently (Hallelujah!!). Pros: the pre-portioned packets are EXTREMELY easy to add to and mix into his drink once a day, absolutely no textural/taste objections whatsoever from him, makes a massive difference in his mood, makes a massive difference in his BM's and general GI comfort, and very reasonably priced for the impact it's had for our little guy. Cons: The only possible conceivable downside to this product is that it definitely alters the odor of his BM's...to make them smell like something you'd encounter at a busy truck stop restroom. In *no way* does this odor change our loyalty to the product that's made such a ginormous impact on our little guy's daily life, but it's definitely something worth mentioning for new users. We've just this month had a lapse in our use due to outside factors. If we had ever questioned the true efficacy of this product before - we're not anymore. He went from happy-go-lucky, easy going, mostly sleeping through the night, 1-2 good BM's a day...to a miserable, intolerant, whiny kiddo who can't get comfortable enough to sleep through the night, negatively altered appetite, and 5-7 watery stools per day (no exaggeration, our diaper use more than doubled). He thrives on routine, so the only change was the lapse in our probiotic use. We got our shipment today, and he got his first dose of probiotics immediately. Based on how things went when we first began using this 2 years ago, I expect a MUCH more comfortable, happy boy in the coming week. Also worth mentioning, is that the manufacturer is a small business. They are wonderful to work with, and have checked in with us several times to see how things were going. Their compassion and customer service are something very rare and beautiful to encounter these days - extremely worthy of acknowledgement and consumer support
