The only thing that has helped my acne
After over a decade battle with cystic acne, I was fed up with going to the dermatologist and taking antibiotics, using topical treatments etc. that just plain out did not work. I tried Spiro and that just made it 100 times worse than it already was. I tried 3 different types of birth control and they never even came close to helping get rid of my acne. I made lifestyle changes and ate healthier, limiting dairy and sugar intake (which I still do) but nothing was working. I considered going on accutane but something inside of me said that wouldn't be a good idea, there had to be another way. I wanted to give up but after spending a lot of time researching I decided to purchase vitamin a, vitamin d-3, vitamin b-5, and OptiZinc (with copper). I'm not sure which of these supplements did the trick or if it's just the combination but after over a decade my suffering has subsided. For the first time in years I have the confidence to leave the house without makeup and although I do have a lot of scaring from acne in the past, it is amazing how much my skin has improved, and continues to. I started taking vitamin a once a day but I am aware of the possible dangers that can arise so over the past few months I've limited it to every other day or every few days. I still take zinc,b, and d every day though. I still get the occasional few zits, especially around that time of the month, but it is NOTHING compared to how bad it used to be. Instead of 5 or more giant cysts I'll get maybe one small one. They also heal so much faster, they used to stick around for months. The only side effect I've experienced is drier skin, but nothing severely dry, I just make sure to moisturize, and it beats the overly oily skin I had before taking these. I will continue to take vitamins b and d and Zinc and probably give Vitamin A a break after I finish my bottle to see if it continues working, but I highly recommend these if you experience stubborn cystic hormonal acne. Just make sure you do your research and don't overdue it
