CoQ10 reduces post-heart attack complications significantly
Randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled trial of coenzyme Q10 in patients with acute myocardial infarction.
A randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled trial compared 120 mg daily of coenzyme Q10 to placebo over 28 days in 144 heart attack patients. Those receiving CoQ10 experienced significantly fewer cases of chest pain, heart rhythm problems, and poor heart function compared to the placebo group. Importantly, major cardiac events—including heart deaths and repeat heart attacks—dropped to 15% with CoQ10 versus 31% with placebo.
We observed that CoQ10 treatment enhanced the body's natural antioxidant defenses and reduced markers of cellular damage. These results suggest CoQ10 may offer rapid protection when given shortly after a heart attack, though larger studies with longer follow-up are needed to fully confirm these encouraging findings.

My heart no longer hurts! As a 21-year-old female, I previously led a sedentary lifestyle, consumed excessive caffeine, and suffered from anxiety, resulting in heavy pressure on my chest, akin to chest pain. I changed my habits, but the pain persisted. Since taking these, I have not experienced any tightness or pain since. I'm delighted and will continue to purchase it.
