Leaks sometimes! Overall quality product.

I've used it almost daily for maybe a month & a half now, and I've got to say - - if the lid is not screwed on just right, it can leak little droplets when you shake it vigorously. Not the little "drink from" screw-on lid...the main lid. There's no real way around this. Screw it on TOO tight & it "pops" & resets on the threading much looser. I try to avoid this, as that can't be good for the lid. I find it really frustrating because you know it would have cost $8-10 more to develop a quality lid (maybe even a metal one with a rubber o-ring!!) & have the Chinese manufacture it. The good news is this: the body is all stainless steel, so at any time (at least in theory) you can either buy replacement lids for this or a better metal lid (that they develop & release in the future as a design upgrade). I'm very happy with the shaker itself; the metal body holds up nicely & has no flaws. Star withheld for the crummy lid that sometimes leaks small droplets of product when you shake to mix...come on, guys. It's 2018. I know we can do better than this. Design a leak-proof metal lid & I will buy it

The best for protein powders! Durable, easy to use and clean!

I am impressed with this version. I have gone through many blender bottles l, i lose them, and tried every version and this one takes the cake. For protein shake powders which i drink daily blender bottles are the best brand out there. As you can see in my picture my shake is blended smooth and even a little frothy. I use gnc high protein lean shakes powder and almond milk. This bottle is very sturdy Stainless Steel yet light it's definitely more durable than i expected. There are measurement lines with corresponding amounts on the outside and then directly opposite on the inside you can see a line made in the steel so you can easily measure since it isn't see through. My first picture shows these lines inside. The lid is see through at the top so you can look in and see if your shaken enough. I like the screw on lid with screw on cap and the hook that detaches makes for easy cleaning it is also a little rubbery for grip around both the lid and cap. The hook is also flexible rubber. It's easy to unscrew and drink from no loosing the cap or anything dripping on me

Good bottle w/ no smell and do not put in the dishwasher

Do not put in the Dishwasher! This is by far my favorite bottle to mixed protein powder, pre-workout...etc.. and I highly recommend it. I am going to go through the positives and flaws of the product as it is not perfect but I would still buy it again! Size: 4/5 A little larger than your normal mixer bottle but in line with the size of similar stainless steel mixers Color & Finish: 5/5 With the White Matte Finish it looks very good and i got some compliments on it. Getting the Matt finish also provides nice grip when shaking compared with the plastic bottles Cleaning: 3.5/5 - The cleaning of this product can get annoying especially in the small cap.... PLEASE NOTE THE SILCON PIECE IN THE SMALL CAP POPs out. You should pop it out and clean it after most uses as mixes can get underneath. Smell : 5/5 - If you properly clean it there is no smell. Shaking: 3.5/5 - Although I saw many complaints about leaking I believe this is due to using the dishwasher in addition as an avid swell bottle user I see the fault in the product it is the metal groves which are very small which can cause people to over tighten and strip the plastic on the cap. In addition with the very narrow bottom it doesn't shake as well as the sports blender bottle Cold Time : 3/5 - They allege it stays cold for 24 hrs which is probably true in perfect conditions and never taking a drink but most of us will be using this in a hot gym while refiling it 2-3 times at least... If you run cold water on the inside/outside of the bottle to get the temperature low and put ice up to the 6oz mark on the inside of the bottle it will last around solid 3-5 hours .... If you are looking for a true water bottle to stay cold for 24hrs just get a swell bottle this is meant for use to make it easy to mix powder and have a decent bottle. With all of this being said I do think this is one of the better products out there and would suggest it

Lasted longer than my first marriage

I bought this water bottle 4 years ago because I loved my (insert extremely over priced insulated water bottle that rhymes with flydro hask) but I wanted a larger opening to easily put ice in, but a smaller opening to drink from so the ice didn't splash me in the face. So, I purchased this gem and have had it with my almost every day across multiple countries, life experience's, you name it and it has held up. I finally caved after 4 years to purchase a new one because the rubber at top just always looks dirty. Best water bottle out there. Keeps ice for at least 24 hours locked in a hot car. Just buy it now. You won't regret it

Better than the original plastic, of course

I have both the plastic version and this one. I decided to buy this one after seeing it on Deal of the Day, but it remained at that 23 USD price long after being a Deal of the Day. What a marketing ploy. In any case, the outright advantage is--this one is not that noisy when being shaken with the ball inside. When you're preparing the protein shake inside your office cubicle, this is definitely an advantage. For some negatives, I noticed that it doesn't retain coldness better than the Zojirushi ones when I had an inkling to fill both simultaneously a cold juice. And then some protein powder has the tendency to stick to the glassed top, undissolved, however hard you shake. It is also not recommended to carry hot drinks. But not leaks so far, so it's great

Worth it!

I own an obscene number of Blender Bottles because I drink 2-3 protein shakes per day, plus a few additional green juices or ginger-cayenne-turmeric drinks a few times per week. I own at least four traditional bottles, two Pro-Stak bottles, and three insulated stainless steel bottles. They all serve their purpose, but when I have a shake that I need to keep cold for a while, the stainless steel bottles are definitely my go-to. Pros -- the metal body doesn't hold onto odors -- drinks stay cold for several hours if enough ice is added -- they look nicer because you can't see all the residue from shakes, from the outside -- they have a detachable loop for attaching to bags -- they are barely wider than traditional Blender Bottles, so they fit in the pocket of my bag -- like all Blender Bottles, they come with a metal Blender ball Cons -- they are heavier than traditional Blender Bottles -- they can dent or chip if dropped -- the lid is plastic, so it can hold onto odors -- they should be hand-washed Overall, I think the insulated, metal Blender Bottle is worth the extra cost

Thoroughly tested!

This bottle has exceeded my expectations for many reasons but it has definitely proved it's self as a great value. $20 for a vacuum insulated shaker bottle that has lasted me almost 2 years. It's the toughest bottle I've owned. Working in the engine room of an aircraft carrier, it's been kicked, hit with the occasional flying wrench, and even dropped from 2 decks up and walked away with a minor dent or scratch of the matte finish. I truly do not understand how people are saying it leaks. If properly screwed on, not even the slightest of leakage even after all the damage it's endured. Same thing with smell, if properly cleaned periodically, it retains no smell. I believe people are going outside it's advertised purpose. it clearly states on the bottom NOT FOR USE WITH HOT LIQUIDS so maybe that's why it retained a smell in those cases. Be aware, you must remove the O-ring to the main lid and the little rubber piece to the mouth spout for a thorough cleaning. Also states DISHWASHER SAFE LID. Nothing vacuum insulated is dishwasher safe. Common sense people. Today i would say is that day it has failed on me. Not entirely as it is still usable, but i'm going to purchase a new one. The lid, being made of silicone has suffered some rips therefore compromising the integrity of a secure fit to the threads

Love it but needs a cleaning tool for gasket

Love that it keeps my water ice cold all day! However after using it nonstop and hand washing it, underneath the lid will get mildew or mold. It was a struggle to clean the silicone gasket underneath the lid, but finally found a small screwdriver to get it out. Washed it with vinegar and it was good as new. I'm very happy with this purchase since I can use it for protein drinks and then drink water cold water from it all day

I'm impressed

I normally don't write review but I think this deserves one. I wanted an insulated shaker cup because I bring smoothies to work often and needed a way to keep it cold while it's sitting on my desk all day. Well this thing does a great job. I put a smoothie in it at 530 am drank half around 9 am and went to finish the rest at 6 pm and it was still cold enough to give me a brain freeze. Not sure how it would preform in a warmer environment but keep my smoothie ice cold for over 12 hours while sitting on my desk. Highly recommend

Love blender bottles BUT….

I love the blender bottles…..but please make the lids out of steel too! It will be more durable and won't absorb smells, but maybe that's why you did it. I've ruined a couple of these due to the lids not letting go of their stench
