Melatonin improves sleep apnea outcomesEffect of melatonin on insomnia and daytime sleepiness, in patients with obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia (COMISA): A randomized double-blinded placebo-controlled trial.
We investigated how melatonin affects patients with obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia. In a double-blind trial, thirty patients received either 10 mg of melatonin or a placebo for a month.
The results were striking; those taking melatonin reported better sleep quality, less daytime sleepiness, and greater adherence to their PAP devices. Improvements were noted across several assessments: the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Insomnia Severity Index, Epworth Sleepiness Scale, and Functional Outcomes of Sleep Questionnaire showed significant gains for the melatonin group.
Thus, melatonin appears to be a promising option to enhance sleep quality and treatment compliance in this challenging patient group.

An excellent dosage for normalising sleep. I only use it as needed, like during flights or when overly excited after work, and it guarantees a wonderful night's sleep. I take 1 tablet half an hour before bed and wake up feeling refreshed and invigorated. Crucially, I have not experienced any addiction.
