I've been taking this for one month and have noticed that it causes my heartbeat to increase and become erratic. As of today, I will no longer take it as the increased heartbeat was very strong last night. I am a post menopausal woman. This symptom is listed on the label warnings. New formula? Does not work anymore

I take DHEA for a medical condition. I take 2 of Douglas 5mg tablets. Twice now I have run out of those and temporarily switched this product, the Douglas 10mg CAPSULES. Both times my medical condition returned immediately. It's like this is a placebo. Nestle purchased Douglas Laboratories in Dec 2017, along with many other Atrium brands. Perhaps they have finally gotten around to cost-reducing this product because it simply does not work anymore. I would suggest the taking tablets or switching to another brand instead

High quality micronized DHEA

I have only recently started taking low dose 10mg per day DHEA to combine with other longevity supplements and fasting as a means of mitigating the age-related decline in both testosterone and HGH. I researched carefully and Douglas Labs are a good, US based manufacturer with solid reputation, and it is important apparently to go for the smaller micronized version for proper bioavailability/absorption. Four days in I can say I feel great, my energy levels are consistently a little higher without feeling like some "hit", and from what I have read a safe/optimal dosage of DHEA is 10-25mg for men and 5-10mg for women, so I am opting for the low end as I am in my mid-40's. Longevity benefits may not yet be fully proven, but my skin is also already starting to look and feel slightly shinier and fuller. I will post an update if anything changes much either way, but highly recommend this brand for those adding DHEA into their regime

Works for me!

I'm a 53 yr old female and was advised by my ob/gyn to start taking DHEA as part of my hormone therapy to treat the effects of menopause (hot flashes). I started with 10mg per day and didn't notice any benefits except for a small reduction in the number of hot flashes. So after 2 months I increased to 25mg/day and I take it mid-day with lunch. Definitely a difference in work-outs, my sex-drive, and my hot flashes! I love it. My ob/gyn warned me of a possible increase in facial hair, and hair loss on my head, but I supplement with 10,000mg of Biotin each day and have had no such side effects at all. In fact, my hair dresser recently told me that I have a ton of hair. Here's the important thing: I am healthy and I'm not on any prescriptions for any health issue other than hormone replacement. So check with your doctor before you try it. You don't want any negative drug interactions with any prescriptions you may be on. I also underwent the BRCA gene test prior to hormone therapy to rule out any genetic propensity for breast and cervical cancer. Good luck

Improves Muscle Mass

I'm 63 and my husband is 67. We've been taking DHEA for a year and have noticed increased energy and increased muscle mass. It's great for the brain too! We didn't want to be like other seniors whose muscles waste away, more every year, especially with my husband being a body builder

Works

My holistic medical provider recommends this particular manufacturer for quality purposes and I take two 10mg a day...morning/afternoons. This drug compliments my bio-identical HRT. Blood work pulled every 6 months shows it is working. I have no experience with other manufacturers of this drug. Douglas Labs does not discount their products so the price at Amazon.com is the same price at other sites. I was ordering from Amazon so I put it on the list. With Douglas Labs, I go with whoever gives me free shipping since the drug is not discounted

They work

You have to cycle DHEA you can't just continuously take something that affects your hormones or it's effects will not be that noticeable over time. I now got the higher dose 25mg and take it 4 days ON 1 day OFF. Then 5 days ON 2 days OFF. Works great energy focus stamina and you wake up with......... BOIIIIIIIIIING!! :

I would recommend it. Low dose sublingual seems to be better …

Product works as a hormone precursor. Sublingual is the way to go for me as it bypasses the first pass liver effect and for me in general is more effective. I would recommend it. Low dose sublingual seems to be better in general. Watch out for unsolicited advice-->> ask your Doctor first, if he/she has no idea what this is find another one! :-

has helped my thyroid

My nurse practitioner whom I see for my thyroid recommended this as part of a general program. Since I am feeling better and my blood levels of everything have improved, I feel this product is helping
