I did not buy through Amazon, but I wanted to leave a review here as I usually would have bought it here.
Unfortunately, I prefer when there is a lot of flower fluff/powder in the bag while the flowers are still intact (so, just not sifted, bottom of the bag kind). It have has so much more sweet flavor that way. While these are all perfectly intact with almost 0 fluff. Which is good! But that means the tea is bitter more medicinal tasting.
I know chamomile can be super sweet and never bitter even at longest steep times. So it's very sad for me to have the bitterness. It's less of a heavily dessert that can be blended into something delicious and more of a healthy..
I don't know if it's because it's German variety. But it just doesn't smell as sweet as I know chamomile can at its best. Unfortunately the brand I got that is the sweetest most decadent chamomile, they are sold out with no date for return. And I now have a whole 1lb of this one, so I'll make it work.
It is good, for I suppose many parameters. Great quality as per the Frontier Co-op standard, fresh, no damage whatsoever. But it's just the bitter taste that is stronger than what I need it to be to love. If you add sugar and pineapple, and steep long enough for all the flavors to fully extract from the fruit, the bitterness will come through strongly. While the one I used to get, I wouldn't even add sugar and could steep indefinitely with no bitterness/medicinal tastes
