KD feasibility for post-concussionThe Ketogenic Diet in the Treatment of Post-concussion Syndrome-A Feasibility Study.
We assessed the potential of a ketogenic diet (KD) in managing post-concussion syndrome (PCS) symptoms through a pilot study involving fourteen participants. Over two months, participants followed a KD supplemented with medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil.
While we noted some improvements in symptoms related to visual memory and overall PCS scores, the changes weren't statistically significant. One individual experienced nausea tied to MCT oil and withdrew, highlighting the need for careful monitoring.
Overall, this study suggests that while a KD may be feasible for PCS, more comprehensive trials are necessary to understand its true effectiveness.

My love for oils! This is the best MCT oil I’ve tried! The quality is exceptional - organic coconut oil without unnecessary impurities. The ingredients are natural, and the taste is neutral, lacking an aftertaste, making it ideal for daily use. I add MCT oil to porridge every morning - it stimulates the pancreas and provides energy for the entire day. Other oils are hard for me to consume in the morning, but MCT is easily absorbed, doesn’t cause nausea, and makes me feel comfortable. I also include it in my coffee or tea - it’s both healthy and delicious! MCT oil supports metabolism, imparts energy, and is perfect for fitness. Initially, I purchased a small bottle, but this is my third large purchase, as the product is genuinely worthwhile. Garden of Life undoubtedly offers the best MCT on the market!
