Once filled, they are good for travel but, they are a pain to fill. You can't just open them all to fill a weeks worth of medication without taking them all out of the box that holds them. The fact that they sit on their sides in the box makes them inconvenient to fill
Read More...I think this is probably the best pill organizer I have tried and there have been several in the last few years. The box can be used for 28 days or 7 days , depending on your requirements. There is a large outer case which has a secure snap closure which might be slightly difficult to use if you have arthritis but the trade off is that it will not open voluntarily in a drawer or travel case and dump the contents out. It also has a seal around the inside ridge to keep moisture out. There are 7 cases inside which are different colors are labeled for the days of the week. What I like the most is that there are 4 spaces per day and each is capable of holding from 6 to 8 pills depending on the sizes. When it is time to replenish the case I do find that it is best to open one (same ) compartment in each case, line them up and fill them , shutting them as you go. Repeat the process 4 times. I found that if you have all the tops for any case open at once they are unstable and your pills may fall out as the cases may flip over. I remove the daily labeled case out of the outer box and put it on the counter. In the evening when I take the 4 th dose I put that case away and brung out the one for the next day. This helps prevent missing doses or skipping days altogether. I use the 4x daily option but If it was feasible I would gladly go for 28 days
Read More...This container is pretty big for a pill organizer; it's about the size of a thick paperback book. It is really nice and can easily hold a decent amount of pills in each compartment. All of the compartment lids close very securely so you don't need to worry about them popping open unexpectedly and losing your medication. Also, the design of the carrying case is well thought out and if the daily cases are kept together, provides another layer of protection from losing your pills because the containers are stacked in a way that even if a lid was loose it could not come open at all. The carrying case has a very secure clasp so it won't pop open either; even if dropped a few time. My only complaint, if you could even call it that, is the color scheme the manufacturer chose to use. The cases are in correct, rainbow order, which I love, except the Thursday case which is green instead of an indigo/purple-like color. I have minor OCD and this out of sequence case is slightly triggering. Also, the Tuesday case is green and if the cases were to get mixed up the Tues and Thur cases would be the most likely to get switched around just by the fact that they both start with the letter T. Add to it that they are the same color and it is almost like you are wanting someone to get them mixed up. Overall I am very happy with this item. I would say it is probably a bit big to carry with you everyday, like in your purse bag, but it is perfect for taking on business trips or vacations, or for use around the house
Read More...This set was bigger than I expected, but it's so wonderfully organized and has beautiful colors! I purchased it to use the individual pods to carry assorted vitamins and medications with me more discreetly in my purse and travel bathroom caddy- pain reliever, allergy meds, antacids, etc. They also have tons of room inside each compartment so I don't have to worry about refilling too often. Each pod is thin enough that it doesn't make my purse or caddy bulge, which was my ultimate goal. It's hard to say for sure as I don't have any ongoing joint issues, but I think this might be difficult to open for someone who has arthritis. The pull tabs are pretty small and inset. It doesn't have too much resistance though, so a gentle pull with my thumbnail opens it pretty easily. Because the tabs are so inset, I don't get the impression the pods will pop open on their own and spill the contents everywhere. Overall, I think this is a great pill organizer for any purpose, and I love the colors
Read More...This is a nice, sturdy case. When I first picked it up, I was surprised how heavy it is. The outer case is fairly thick, hard plastic, and the seven inner cases softer, more like the plastic that pill cases are typically made of. There are seven inner cases, one for each day of the week. Each inner cases is divided into four sections labeled Morn, Noon, Night, and Backup. They are pretty easy to open with your thumbnail. The outer case has a rubbery gasket where the top and bottom halves meet. Overall, I really like this case and would recommend it
