Wonderful Pain Relief~*~
It is a joy to write a review for Now Foods Coral Calcium. I have had a number of back surgeries, several of them requiring fusions with bone taken from my hips. Some time later I began to have pain at the site where the bone was removed. I could feel hard pointed bumps under the skin which were painful. My Orthopedic surgeon told me that I grow bone to well which resulted in the bone growths. Several years ago I had a bone density test done which indicated that I might have some softening of the bone so my primary doctor wanted me to take medications to strengthen my bones. Remembering what my Ortho said I refused the medication because i did not want to encourage any more of the lumps in my hips. I avoided anything that might encourage bone growth. One week before Christmas of 2015 I fell and broke my leg in what is called a Tib/Fib Plateau fracture which essentially means that directly below my knee both the tibia and fibula had been broken into cookie crumb pieces that required two surgeries to repair. The surgeon was concerned because she thought my bones might be too soft and would not tolerate the screws and plate they had to use, but they did! I thought in six weeks I would be up and around-NOT! I was in a wheelchair for six months and had l had to learn to walk again and I continued to have some fairly significant pain. I didn't know that the tendons and ligaments are also involved in that type of injury, and it takes longer for them to heal. Eventually my surgeon told me that I would likely need a knee replacement but that she didn't think even that would be helpful. So 18 months later I continued to have fairly severe pain. I finally gave in and decided to try using calcium to see if it would help heal the leg but the first bottle didn't seem very effective but I decided to give it some time. While placing my order I noticed the term "coral calcium" and I was encouraged by the reviews of the Now brand so I decided to switch to this brand. Within a few weeks of starting Now's Coral Calcium I noticed a reduction of the pain in my knee and other joints too and am now nearly completely pain free. Thank God and pass the biscuits. I do not know what the difference is between Coral Calcium and other types of calcium as I have not yet researched it but I do know that my pain had significantly decreased and that was enough for me. YAY! I have read other reviews that complain of the size of the tablet and I understand that size can be important. (watch out now and keep your mind on the subject!) However this particular brand of calcium is 1,000 Mg per a smaller capsule than most 500 Mg calcium tablets. I was dreading having to choke a large tablet down (you never know how big they will be when you order them) and was pleasantly surprised to see that the capsule is small considering the strength. It is fairly large but not humongous and I have no difficulty swallowing it. I take two capsules nightly. I have not used this brand long enough to claim other benefits it may have such as hair and nails but I have noticed that I sleep better, perhaps from the decrease in pain. I have not noticed any growth of the bone spurs in my hips either which is very pleasing as they can be uncomfortable. All things considered I am very pleased with Now's Coral Calcium and would not hesitate to recommend it. The price is reasonable and the strength per capsule is greater in a smaller size capsule. To date I have not experienced any adverse side effects such as gas, nausea etc.. I Per Amazon the item arrived in a timely manner. It was well packaged and intact when it arrived. I would strongly and with great enthusiasm recommend this product to other consumers. I purchased this brand without financial enticements or other considerations. If you choose to try Now Coral Calcium your experience may differ from mine because even though we are the same we are not the same. Who knows how their DNA falls on the ladder of life?
