Mast hev! If you struggle to sleep, I highly recommend this supplement. It saved me from terrible insomnia due to stress. I initially had low expectations for Theanine's effect, but it restored my deep sleep remarkably. I also gave it to my sister, who suffers from chronic insomnia and had relied on sleeping pills. To my surprise, she called to say she hadn’t slept this well in ages. I take it in the morning with coffee, as Theanine neutralises coffee's harmful effects, while caffeine enhances concentration and cognitive benefits.

This study explored how L-theanine can influence the effects of cuprizone-induced multiple sclerosis in mice.

We observed that when L-theanine was administered alongside cuprizone, it improved locomotor functions and reduced damage typically caused by the disorder.

Notably, mice receiving L-theanine showed enhancements in ambulation and grip strength compared to the control group.

While the study indicates potential benefits of L-theanine, further research is necessary to fully understand its effectiveness in human autoimmune conditions.

It works from stress. L-Theanine with Green Tea is intended to reduce stress and side effects. Together with caffeine, it soothes and invigorates. I noticed a real effect on myself: it gives strength, improves my mood, and fear no longer bothers me as much as before. Once, I took theanine before a driving test, and remarkably, the fear diminished, allowing my mind to be clearer. As a result, I passed! I want to order more, as I find it truly beneficial.

We examined how L-theanine, a compound found in green tea, influences depressive behaviors in a rat model. Using specific behavioral tests, such as the open-field and forced swim tests, we observed that L-theanine improved depressive-like behaviors.

Our findings indicated that it boosted levels of key neurotransmitters—serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine—in certain brain regions. This suggests that L-theanine could have potential antidepressant effects, possibly by interacting with these neurotransmitters in brain areas associated with mood regulation.

I’ve been using NOW Foods L-Carnitine and L-Theanine for a few weeks, and it’s making a notable difference in my fitness and stress levels. The 1000 mg dosage of L-Carnitine supports my routine well, while the 100 mg of L-Theanine significantly aids in managing stress and promoting relaxation. I appreciate that it’s made with decaf green tea, making it suitable for any time of day. The pros include staying calm and focused without drowsiness and being vegetarian-friendly. However, I sometimes require a higher dose on stressful days. Overall, it delivers on better relaxation. Highly recommended!

We delved into how green tea might help with cognitive decline during post-menopause, particularly in addressing post-menopausal depression (PMD). Our research involved using a modified green tea extract, which was less toxic to neurons than traditional extracts.

We found that this new extract not only prevented the onset of learned helplessness in a rat model of post-menopausal depression, but it also improved cognitive function. Importantly, we observed that the extract worked by restoring the formation of silent synapses in the hippocampus, which is crucial for memory and learning.

The star player in this green tea extract was found to be (-)-gallocatechin gallate, a key compound that seemed to drive these beneficial effects. Overall, our findings suggest that green tea, particularly this modified form, may serve as a helpful dietary supplement for managing cognitive challenges associated with menopause.

Incredible mood booster! I am usually calm, but I began feeling grumpy about everything, which affected my family and boyfriend. After hearing about these little pills, I decided to try them two weeks ago. I cannot believe it, but I feel like myself again! I am level-headed and rational now. I haven't cried uncontrollably before my period anymore (just a couple of times, but that’s my soft spot for romantic films). The quality ingredients are wonderful, they're easy to swallow, I have more energy, and there’s no unpleasant taste. If you're struggling with PMS or maybe menopause, give it a shot; I take two daily and it’s helped beyond my expectations.

Now Foods, L-Theanine, is excellent for calming the nerves. It's particularly beneficial for PMS as it doesn't sedate you or induce sleepiness, but simply calms me down. I also take it for work-related stress, helping me develop a healthy indifference. It does not cause any sleep problems, making it a useful recommendation.

We conducted a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial to see how L-theanine affects sleep quality in boys aged 8 to 12 diagnosed with ADHD. Over six weeks, participants took either L-theanine or a placebo.

The results showed that 400 mg of L-theanine daily significantly improved sleep quality in these children. Since many kids with ADHD struggle with sleep issues, this suggests L-theanine could be a beneficial addition to managing ADHD symptoms. Future research with larger groups is encouraged.

L-theanine is a quality supplement for anxiety and stress, derived from green tea. It should be taken with food. A study published in Nature indicates that the combination of caffeine and theanine helps individuals with ADHD maintain calm focus. The capsules are odourless and tasteless. I’ve been using this remedy since 2015, and it has consistently helped. My Fitbit shows a decrease in heart rate a few hours after intake. Since L-theanine has a half-life of 90 minutes, another capsule is needed after about three hours. It's suitable for a vegetarian diet.

I purchased this supplement and will continue to do so! Now Foods is one of my favourite brands on iHerb, as their products genuinely work, and the prices can be quite pleasing. The capsule size is small, with a neutral taste. The ingredients are commendable: l-theanine 100 mg, isonite 100 mg, cellulose, rice flour, magnesium stearate, and silicon. My sister highly praised this supplement, as it aided her during panic attacks. It also helped me adjust to new time zones; after taking one before bed, I enjoyed wonderful sleep and improved mood, with sharper vision. This amazing remedy enhances overall body function, reduces diabetes risk, benefits heart health, lowers blood pressure, boosts immunity, preserves potassium, and prevents dehydration. Athletes use it for energy, as l-theanine aids concentration and memory, while plant protein nourishes muscles without causing drowsiness. The packaging quality was excellent, and I received it ahead of schedule.

We explored the potential benefits of green tea catechin polyphenols (GTPs) in reducing the negative impacts of intermittent hypoxia (IH), which often occurs in sleep-disordered breathing. Over a period longer than 14 days, male Sprague-Dawley rats were provided with GTP in their drinking water as we assessed its effects on cognitive function, inflammation, and oxidative stress.

Our findings showed that GTP helped prevent some of the cognitive deficits associated with IH exposure. Notably, during cognitive tests using the Morris water maze, GTP-treated rats did not show the same decline in learning ability as their untreated counterparts, who experienced significant challenges.

Furthermore, GTP intervention also impacted biological markers. We observed that the untreated rats exhibited increased oxidative stress, evidenced by higher levels of malondialdehyde, while GTP-treated rats showed a remarkable reduction in these harmful compounds. The study also indicated a notable decrease in markers of inflammation and damage in the brains of GTP-treated rats, offering insights into how green tea might counteract the detrimental effects of sleep apnea.

Overall, this research highlights the potential of GTP as a complementary approach in managing the cognitive and biological challenges associated with sleep-disordered breathing. This opens up exciting avenues for future investigations into the therapeutic roles of dietary interventions in sleep health.

This study evaluated the impact of four weeks of L-theanine on stress and cognitive function in 30 healthy adults. Participants received either 200 mg of L-theanine or a placebo in a double-blind setup. We observed significant reductions in anxiety and stress symptoms, as indicated by improved scores on various measures, including sleep quality. Additionally, cognitive functions, such as verbal fluency, showed notable enhancement after L-theanine use. These findings suggest that L-theanine may be beneficial for managing stress-related issues and boosting mental performance.

We set out to explore how long-term consumption of green tea could influence insomnia among postmenopausal women, a group known to face higher risks of depression and sleep disturbances. In our investigation, we had the opportunity to look at 386 women living in a tea-producing village. We divided them into two groups: one that regularly consumed green tea and a control group that did not.

Our findings revealed noteworthy differences between the two groups in several aspects, including the degree of insomnia. We observed that those who consumed green tea experienced less insomnia, suggesting that this delightful beverage might help improve sleep quality. Additionally, the study indicated that green tea consumption could be linked to positive changes in inflammation and estradiol levels, which might also play a role in enhancing overall well-being.

In summary, integrating green tea into the daily routine of postmenopausal women may offer a natural way to help diminish insomnia symptoms. This is a promising step toward promoting healthier lifestyles for women in this stage of life.

We conducted a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial to explore how consuming catechins from green tea affects symptoms like headaches during upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs). Our participants were healthy individuals who either received a bottled beverage containing 490 mg of catechins or a placebo without any catechins.

Impressively, we observed that those in the catechin group reported significantly reduced headache durations compared to the placebo group. Specifically, our findings showed a substantial improvement, highlighting the positive influence of catechins on not only headaches but also other URTI symptoms such as nasal congestion and running nose.

By integrating daily catechin consumption from bottled drinks, we discovered that these compounds can indeed help alleviate some discomforts associated with URTIs. Overall, this suggests that a simple addition to our diets, like enjoying green tea, could be beneficial in reducing the severity of headaches when dealing with winter colds.

Theanine has been a lifesaver during a challenging time in my life. My pressure was erratic, leading to various health issues, but after a month of consistent intake, I feel much better. There are moments when the stress resurfaces, but they are less frequent and easier to manage. My sleep has improved, and my mind is clearer—minor forgetfulness is less bothersome. The pressure stabilised, which has lessened my headaches. I feel calmer and can handle everything with more ease. I might consider increasing to 200 mg of theanine in the future for even greater tranquility, as it holds a top spot in my first aid kit.
