Nature's Way Alive! Women’s Ultra Potency Complete Multivitamin

I've been taking these vitamins for years thinking I was doing a good thing for my body and just today when I went to check out I noticed a state of CA lead warning on the item. I usually ignore this as CA is paranoid about everything but when I did some more research I found out that this brand in particular has way more lead than is permissible on a daily basis. On top of that, it has 7,500 IU of Vitamin A. The level of vitamin A you need to ingest over a long period of time to develop chronic vitamin A toxicity is only 100,000 IU. If you eat foods high in vitamin A and take this vitamin daily, you will easily exceed the daily limit. In addition, as others have stated, these vitamins stink to high heaven and taste just as bad. I can get them down by covering up the flavor with orange juice but if I drink water there is a residual horribleness that I can only cover up by eating something. I have heard this smell, taste, and sometimes nausea is caused by the type of iron used in the pill (ferrous fumarate). If you take carbonyl iron instead there's no disgusting flavor and it's easier to digest. After many years I ended up switching to another brand of multivitamin that doesn't overdose me on vitamins my body will either expel or build up in my liver - the former being a waste of money and the latter being dangerous

I have really noticed a difference with these vitamins- and I've never noticed feeling better just by taking a vitamin- but I noticed I felt better- more energy, sleeping better, feeling more awake, even calmer, witin the first week of taking these. I notice when I miss a day. I love these vitamins- they are definately the best multi's you can buy for less than 20$. also- I'm GF so its good to note that these contain no wheat. Short and sweet. I adore this muliti-vitamin but I do agree there are pros and cons to consider. One of the biggest selling points for me is just how comprehensive this multivitamin is for women. There is so much packed into this pill and it really is the best one I have tried. I am someone who has truly noticed a huge difference in how I feel overall when I take these, my energy level, the health of my nails (& the thickness of my nails) when I take these regularly. Officially, I am sold and will continue to take these now without venturing and trying other pills.. Nothing compares. When I have ventured the first difference I noticed was the health of my nails. They broke so easily and they weren't as thick. About me.. you should know that swallowing pills has never been a issue for me.. if that's a issue for you then I am not sure this would be a good idea because this pill is larger than most in my opinion. Go for a smaller pill or a gummy vitamin. I don't have a great immune system & I get sick at the drop of a hat. I moved to the UP of Michigan and the weather here can be brutal. These multivitamins have been so helpful for me. When I take them regularly as I should then I notice a boost in my immune system even when I don't take a extra vitamin C pill. One con for me is that the pills can make you sick to your stomach if you don't eat a meal with them. I guess on the flip side this ensures I don't skip breakfast but I am also someone who is a avid breakfast person lol. I would absolutely recommend taking these with food so that your stomach doesn't get upset. I don't like the feeling of taking them without food

The pill is big and full of great ingredients. I would have liked to see more magnesium, but overall there are some awesome vitamins and minerals. However: there is way too much of the vitamins! There is too much B vitamins for one. A little after taking the vitamin, I noticed my urine was like neon green. I brushed it off because maybe the light was too dim or I was exaggerating the color. But my next couple urines (is that a word? lol) were the same color. I looked it up online and the first thing that popped up was overdosing of vitamin B. This is mostly harmless, because I am just urinating the extra vitamin B out, however I read that it can cause nerve damage when overdosing takes place over a long period of time. There is also excess amounts of Vitamin C. I know, from past experience and past research, that this causes a reaction in me. My jaw will randomly spasm. For a relative of mine, he will have a slight tremor of his lip. These things will happen sporadically throughout the day until there is no longer the excess Vitamin C in the body. All in all, I will finish the bottle. I will take the pills every other day or every few days. The vitamins that are over dosed are water soluble vitamins that are urinated out when taken in excess. It's mainly harmless, but it's important to know that there are possible side effects that some people can experience because people's bodies react differently to different things, so that's why I wanted to share my take. I overall feel fine. Just maybe thirstier than normal (which could be because of the excess B). I don't necessarily feel super energetic. The pills are pretty nasty and huge, though, so remember to consider that. I had to give it a 3, because I'm not super impressed, but I'm not disappointed either

I like these! They do seem strong as other reviews have mentioned but that's what I wanted. If you take them on an empty stomach you might feel yucky for a bit so I'd eat something with them. I don't care for the vitamins I find on the store shelves, all these gummy things don't impress me. These seem like a better quality to me and the price was good too! Update:: ok these do make you nauseous for a good while after taking them even if you take them with a meal. I might try to take a half a tablet Another Update:: Taking a half a tablet is a bad idea, I about choked myself to death! Lol after you cut it in half it has pointed edges that are very uncomfortable when swallowing! Then the next day I tried crushing the half tablet and that is rough also. It tastes awful, I could barely get it down! Lol I'm back to swallowing the whole tablet and dealing with the nausea because I think their good for you. Last update:: I started taking a whole pill along with a smoothie or a protein shake and I don't notice being nauseous. Problem fixed

I have only had these vitamins for a few days so will update this if anything changes but my first impression is amazing! I just moved to the rainy city of Seattle a few months ago and I have been feeling fatigued/depressed with all the gloomy weather. Every day I have been waking up groggy with constant brain fog I began to think this is just normal. I purchased these vitamins and took one around 3 pm with food. I was up until 1 am (usually I have no problems sleeping and I'm in bed by 11pm no problem) and was still not tired. I forced myself to go to bed and I felt like I tossed and turned a lot during the night but when I woke up I felt so refreshed and my mind felt so clear. I totally forgot I took that vitamin and realized that might explain why I was so energized and had a hard time sleeping. I took another one today and I am still feeling energized and clear-minded but with very neon colored pee (fun side effect). I used to take vitafusion multivites which are adult gummy vitamins but found I didn't always want a "candy" taste and I would usually remember to take them right after brushing my teeth so then I would never take them. Anyway, I never experienced anything with those vitamins so I wasn't expecting any huge difference with these Nature's Way Alive vitamins but they are doing something

This is the only thing that has helped my hair grow. I feel like I tried all the food, oils, witch doctor stuff, my hairdresser's advice, etc., and as soon as I started taking these 5 years ago I saw much faster hair growth. It began when I saw my friend who chopped all her hair off, a few months later it was already to her collarbones again. I couldn't believe it! She said she takes these. I saw the same results. If I get super busy in my life and forget to take them for a month or so, I can see that my hair stops growing. I'm glad I'm getting my vitamins on top of it, although I don't *feel* any differently health-wise regarding energy levels or whatnot

I just ordered my bottle yesterday.I just received it today and I did read most reviews here before taking it.Some where a little scary for me (upset stomach) reviews. So I took causion and only took a half of it with my dinner instead of the whole tablet.Its been 5 hrs now since I took half and I feel amazing no stomach issues nothing except only dry mouth that is all. I ordered this because I don't eat much (I am a solid woman) but I'm not huge . I absolutely love milk but barely drink it , I don't eat much only mostly once a day (dinner) I do take 3 different meds for my major depressive disorder and again before I took it I did look up on medications interactions to see if there was any with the meds I'm on (all good to go😊) my body has a hard time absorbing vitimen D I used to always be put on vitimen C,D pills because they were always low I used to be on iron pills because I am animic also . So far I know it may sound a little crazy but I'm always sleepy no matter time of day to the point I'm sleeping sitting up lol!! (Yes for real) but I'm not sleepy now lol! . And to had I had my gallbladder taken out 8yrs ago but always deal with everything passing through the minute I eat (most cases) some days 1,2 times others 3-5 a day it's crazy but I feel great so I believe this will be the multivitamin I will stick too since it has everything your body truly needs . I never buy at a store because they contain so many other things that aren't so great for your body.So point is this multivitamin is truly a blessing. I know alot of you had stomach issues with it (me one of the lucky ones) but I have always done well with iron , vitimen A,C and D and iron pills . I did eat with it so I had no issues at all just the constant dry mouth but that is minor .So yes this multivitamin is amazing I will keep taking it. And yes it's big but it was so easy to cut (no struggle at all). Will be stay on half tablet for now and see down the line if full pill will benefit but for now half is just rite for me ! ðŸ˜

I'd researched different vitamins and supplements over the last month or two, trying to find one that provided the best “bang for your buck,” and this product is chock full! A quick look through the ingredients and you'll see what I mean. More than just a simple vitamin, it also contains ingredients for immune support, heart health, fruits, veggies, etc. Not saying this should or could replace a healthier lifestyle, but if you feel like you need a little help in that area, like I do, then this just might be for you. Now, fair warning - it is somewhat of a horse pill (see pic), but you can't expect to have all of those ingredients packed into something as small as a baby aspirin, right? If need be, you could always use a pill cutter, and just swallow two or three smaller pieces. I'm sure Amazon has a number of pill splitters/crushers that would do the job. My New Year's Resolution? Be the healthiest me I can be. This product sure seems like a good start
