I have taken this supplement for 25 years off and on, mostly on. Why? Leg muscle pain from a herniated disc. It was first recommend to me by my son's martial arts instructor who had studied Chinese Medicines. I started taking it, 6 per day then ultimately down to one per day. I have never noticed any side effects except a fully functioning leg muscle again. Without it, the pain and twitching is back, with it, it is gone, simple as that. AND I have proved to myself this is the reason. Twice I ran out and the issues came back,. first after two days, then again after two weeks. When I start taking it again, problem solved. It's effect are very subtle but very real.and build over time. I would suggest anyone that has back issues try it, This stuff kept me out of the operating room, it is cheap and I found it effective with no downside that I could discern

Best for My Back Problems

I have not purchased this product from Amazon but have used it or its differently branded cousins for 19 years. I will tell you I have never noticed better sleeping or increased energy. However I have found nothing better for back pain. I herniated a disc in 1993 and decided not to have surgery, I rehabbed it myself and was out of work for 6 months. Siberian Root was recommended by my son's martial arts instructor who was schooled in Chinese medicine. This product,combined with rest and stretching treatments, kept me from ever having back surgery. When the injury was fresh, I started taking up to 6 per day and noticed no negative side effects whatsoever, but a reduction in pain. I am generally not allergic to many things either, your mileage may vary. As time went on I eventually dropped to one per day maintenance dose. Did it work, was it the Siberian root? You decide. After 6 months, I ran out and within 3 days, my knee started involuntarily twitching from pressure on the nerve involved along with the return of muscle pain. I restarted Siberian root and both the pain and twitching stopped again. I had a similar episode 2 years after the fact, only this time it took two weeks for the pain and twitching to return. I have been taking it ever since, one per day. No problems. I have recommended it to family members who have had similar results. Its effect are subtle but very real, and I think it takes some days or weeks to build up in your system. For me, this stuff was a life saver. My own opinion is that that it has anti-inflammatory properties and may even rebuild nerve pathways. I say that only because I have regained most of the muscle strength I lost in my inner thigh when the herniation happened. UPDATE: 10/2015 Not long after the review I found I didn't even need Siberian Root anymore, the pain and twitching had stopped never to return....or so I thought. This time I had been off Siberian Root for 2-3 years and had suffered no issue with the nerve pressure when, yes, it has returned again. I took two capsules and the situation resolved almost immediately, so that is why I am back to buy some more. There is no doubt after 22 years this stuff works and works well even though its effects can be subtle

Excellent source of sustained energy.

Believe it or not, this will give you energy. Not a lot. It's not "5-hour energy". I take just one pill a day in the morning (directions say 3). The very next day I realized that I didn't have my usual late-morning need to take a nap (I'm retired). I actually wanted to get up and do something. I went and play pickleball and felt even better after that. I don't think there is any down side to this "herb". But it has to be Siberian Ginseng (Eleuthero Senticosis); not Korean Ginseng (Panax) or American Ginseng. (Of course, it doesn't matter where it is grown, it just needs to be the right type)

This is my Favorite Training Supplement!

This is my Go-To when I am back in training for long distant runs or Big - Long- Projects requiring stamina and endurance. I heard many years ago that the Russian Olympians trained on the natural supplement for stamina and endurance. And this product delivers for me. It does not increase your heart rate and is very subtle- but it makes every system in your body just work in a Peak Performance Level. You find you are not out of breath running hills and have a even natural energy level where you usually feel like stopping. All day long your feel mentally like doing things and you are not tired. And I never feel exhausted the next day like i over did myself. This is my Favorite Training Supplement

Good quality product

Good quality product. Strong stuff - if you are at all sensitive to stimulants tread lightly. Taking for Lyme. When I first started, was doing 2 capsules in the morning and 2 at lunch. As the fatigue lifted, I can no longer tolerate more than 1/3 of a capsule with lunch (after morning coffee has worn off). Can't say enough good things about Nature's Way - they are one of the few brands to actually test to verify the contents of their products

Works well – a good coffee substitute without the buzz

Tried it at a friends recommendation - it definitely eliminates the need for any energy drinks or caffeine. I havent taken a pill after 6pm so I cant say too much about causing insomnia - but the effect seems to wear off @ ~4hrs/pill. It also helped with workouts - feel less tired at the end

i gave up on caffeine

I love Eleuthero! I gave up on drinking caffeine, and this stuff L-theanine really helps me feel great. The pills aren't small, but they're effective, easy to swallow, and don't smell at all

Extra energy when I don't want coffee

I use this for extra energy when I don't want to drink coffee. I mix it with hot water and honey and sip the mixture with a spoon. It has a very bland taste, which isn't a problem if you don't open the capsules

I LOVE Siberian Eleuthero (Siberian Ginseng)! If you're looking for the perfect non-jittery, non-anxiety inducing herb for energy this is it! I've tried many herbs for energy and focus over the years and this is the only one that actually works for me. It just chemically clicks with my body. I've tried many brands and they all seem to work well, but this is my favorite for the price, and the packaging is attractive ;) Pills are moderately sized, easy to swallow and have no odor. Great seller, fast shipping! Highly recommend
