We looked into how probiotics, like Saccharomyces boulardii, can help prevent antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) in children. Involving 23 studies with nearly 4,000 participants, our findings indicate a significant benefit from probiotics, with AAD occurring in 8% of the probiotic group versus 19% in the control group.
It appears that probiotics, particularly certain strains, can help keep children's gut health intact during antibiotic treatments. While no serious side effects were recorded, some mild issues like bloating were noted. Overall, moderate evidence supports using these probiotics to ward off AAD.

I actually feel a difference with this probiotic! I feel so much better after taking it. Although I sometimes bloat after consuming certain foods, I took a capsule, and within 10 minutes, the bloating subsided. Overall, I feel good taking this probiotic as my digestion has improved, and my bowel habits are more regular. I highly recommend it!
