Great for 3x a day pills On-the-Go!

I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas this year. Not the most exciting of gifts, but he takes medication daily and his pill box - despite him saying "it's fine!" - had a broken lid on Monday and was only one pod per day - while he takes pills three times a day. I read through reviews and picked this one and this turned out to be a great - if not exciting! - gift this year. Here are the basics: Cases for morning noon and night - this has a three case box for each day of the week. Perfect if that is your need. Sturdy outer container - it is clear - to keep things extra protected and in order, but also the little colored pods for each day can be taken out and are great for an on the go day out. My boyfriend often forgot his pills before but now he forgets less often as these can be with him at all times. Color-coded - different color for each day of the week and pretty clear Day of the Week and Time of day labels on each day's case. Cons would be: These are still little plastic boxes. I assume one day the lids will break. Wish they made better pill boxes, but this seems to be the common format for this item. Also, the little letters are printed on the plastic. Eventually these will wear off. I wish they made the letters engraved into the lids so the paint would last longer. Oh well, again, I looked and looked but this is the norm. Bottom line: For the price, this is a good item. It seems to be as well made as any other plastic pill boxes I have seen over the years, and it is well-organized and great for travel since the pods can be taken out on a day to day basis. If anything goes wrong I will update the review but until then I do recommend this item if you need a three-a-day pill box. UPDATE 03/28/2019: Well, he has had this item and used it three times a day for well over a year now! Surprisingly all pieces work great, no broken doors on the compartments. The printing on the labels still looks good, too! I am very pleased with this gift working so very well. Good luck and hope this helps! UPDATE 11/28/2020: It's been near three years and the pill case is still with us. No broken doors, not too much rubbed off paint, and my boyfriend is a wonderful but destructive ogre. His feet melt socks, all shirts get holes, shoes explode off his feet in pieces. I can't explain it, but somehow he hasn't destroyed these, or even so much as battered them notably. Thinking of getting one for me now that I have more supplements and medications

Cheerful & sturdy

I love the pill organizer. It's so bright and friendly and cheerful, especially compared to the medical-looking alternatives. It really makes me happy, and I like that it's well-built enough that my cats can't get into the medication (they're very curious). Each day is a separate container, which are big enough to fit several large pills, but small enough to easily fit inside a purse or large pocket if you're out for the day. The text on these day containers (e.g. NOON Tue) is large and easy to read. There's a large clear case which holds all the day containers together. The clasps are all strong and take some effort to open-- this works well for me, because they won't open even if the case is dropped. I think it could be a downside for someone with arthritis or who has difficulty opening small objects. This is a sturdy, well-designed pill case. I'd highly recommend it

Largest 3x day pill organizer I could find. It still doesn't fit all my pills, but I take A LOT of capsule-sized supplements, and each compartment easily fits 10 large capsules and a few smaller pills. I love that I can take each day on the go without carrying around the full week's case. I've only had it for a week, but it feels sturdy. If you have arthritis or finger mobility issues, it might be difficult to open the clear outer case. I had a little trouble the first time, but it has since gotten a little easier to open

Very roomy compartments!

So pleased with these cases! I love how each day is a removable group, so when I'm out for the day with my family, I just grab that day's case - no need to hassle with little zippered baggies anymore. We each take a lot of whole food supplements, so I was concerned that these might not be big enough. But each individual compartment is1 7/8” x 7/8” x 7/8”, which you can see by my pics holds a lot: all my capsules, tablets, and wafers. The hinges on each compartment seem sturdy, so I don't expect any problems for a long time. (They are just integral flat plastic hinges, so in time they will most likely break, but given the thickness and amount of expected wear, I suspect we'll be able to use these for a long time and get our money's worth.

This organizer made my life a lot easier.

Just what I was looking for. Each compartment is big enough to hold several big vitamin/supplement capsules as well as prescriptions. I tale 10 things in the morning - three large, three medium and 4 small - and there is plenty of room. I was using three separate weekly pill boxes, but it is so much easier to take out one small box per day. Both the outer box and individual day boxes are sturdy, and filling them all while they sit in the big box once a week is a breeze. My only complaint is that the outer box can be difficult to open, but that's got it's advantages, too. I just use one of the latches for normal use, but it I'm sure it would be secure for traveling

Crazy that a pill box organizer could make me this happy

I have been through several pill box organizers. They have all failed physically and/or my needs. This thing has made my life so much better. It does everything I wanted and more features than I would have every thought of. It is the only pillbox that will not spill your pills--a nightmare that has happened to me many times. I can put the double sealed case in my purse with no worries. I can also just take out that day's separate box if I don't have a lot of room in a small purse. The flexibility it offers in pill management is so welcome. Thank you so much for making this product. p.s. my outer box opens easily for me. I don't understand the reviews that say this is troublesome. Perhaps very arthritic fingers might have some issue

good product

There is only one slight problem with this pill box. There are 7 units, one for each day of the week. The separate units are not anchored to the tray so they can fall out unless the tray is shut with the attached snap lid. I had a previous 7 day pillbox in which the units were anchored the separate units to the tray though they could still be removed by pressing bottom of tray. Because the units were anchored to the tray, it was easy to fill up the individual units without accidentally knocking them out of place with every touch of your fingers. Every thing stays put as you fill up the pillboxes. On the plus side, this pillbox has a tray with a lid that snaps shut and so you can carry around your pillboxes without fear of the units falling out and spilling their contest

Hassle saver

This pill organizer is much easier for my special needs son and I to manage and monitor a week's supply of medication compared to the old organizer. I thought initially that cases inside a case would be too much of a hassle two or three times a day, but it has proven to be a hassle saver. You can drop the case without spilling the medication! The outer case has hinged fasteners which increase the security of the meds inside the inner containers. Would buy again in a heartbeat

A MUST HAVE!

I think this product is amazing! The pill case has big compartments and they hold all my pills with no problem. I very much appreciate the way I can take out one day and toss it into my purse, so I can have my pills on the go. I am always showing this to my friends because it is twice secure. All the compartments latch AND the entire case latches. You could actually say it is 3x's secure because the blue bag also zips and there is absolutely NO way you will lose your pills. Each compartment has day of the week and time (morning, noon, eve). I love the way I can also look at the color and know the day it is. If you need a good pill case you can not go wrong getting this one! The blue case is also very handy. The pill case only takes a bit of room in it and you can easily put 2 8" tablets in with your pills. There is also a zipper pocket in front for extra thin items (ie. power cord, medication information). Do yourself a favor and get both the pill case AND the little bag. You won't be sorry, I know I am not. UPDATE: The writing wears off rather quickly (thus I took one star away). You will have to get something to label what is what day and so on so you don't get confused. Other than that it has held up really well

Perfection!

I like to space out the timing is my vitamins and supplements through the day and this container is so perfect. My older pill organizer was literally bursting at the closure because the larger pills (Vitamin C) took up too much room. I have more than enough room with this one and the beautiful colors make it so attractive. Very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend it
