Lactobacillus impact on candidiasisComparing the therapeutic potentials of vs. against vulvovaginal candidiasis in female rats: an study.
We set out to explore how lactobacillus acidophilus, specifically strain B-2178, impacts vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) in female rats. By dividing our study subjects into five groups, we included controls and examined the effects of different treatments.
In particular, we analyzed the immune response of the vaginal tissue after intravaginal inoculation to establish VVC. The rats treated with strain B-2178 showed a promising ability to maintain an immune-tolerant state in the vaginal epithelium. Through this action, it seemed capable of reducing uncontrolled inflammation, which is often a challenge during candidiasis.
Although our findings suggest that B-2178 may be beneficial in treating VVC, it's important to note that the overall focus was broader and did not isolate lactobacillus acidophilus alone. This makes it difficult to pinpoint the specific advantages of this particular strain compared to others.
Ultimately, it appears that while B-2178 exhibits potential, more targeted research is required to evaluate its effectiveness in isolating and addressing candidiasis comprehensively.

Great working probiotic! I ordered this in a new form and packaging. A year ago, I took a variant in a glass package which helped me significantly after illnesses and antibiotics; I suffered from prolonged thrush and cystitis attacks. I noticed improvement within the second week, and after completing a three-month course, I generally forgot about this issue. I observed positive changes in digestion, and I did not alter my nutrition or lifestyle. I plan to repeat the course this autumn and found two jars in an advantageous package. I trust the Solgar brand; for me, it’s the best option. Following last year’s distress, I am very pleased this supplement worked well for me. I recommend it highly.
