Melatonin improves MS-related symptoms12-week melatonin intake attenuates cardiac autonomic dysfunction and oxidative stress in multiple sclerosis patients: a randomized controlled trial.
We explored the impact of melatonin on patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), aiming to improve heart function and sleep. In a randomized controlled trial, participants received either melatonin or a placebo for 12 weeks.
We observed significant improvements in heart rate variability and markers of oxidative stress, suggesting that melatonin could enhance heart health and lower stress in MS patients. Additionally, sleep quality and quantity also improved with melatonin use.
This study indicates that melatonin might be a beneficial treatment option for managing cardiac issues and sleep disturbances in MS.

After experiencing stress, I struggled to sleep at night. Sleep is vital for a healthy life, and I recognised that my melatonin production was likely affected. To avoid using hypnotic chemicals, I decided to try melatonin, choosing Solgar. I took a 10 mg dosage, which proved effective. One pill before bed helped me fall asleep gently, allowing me to enjoy a deep sleep throughout the night. After finishing the jar, I felt a significant improvement in my sleep and a sense of inner peace. With menopause causing insomnia, I now keep this natural remedy on hand for those restless nights. I recommend it highly!
