Taurine mitigates heart disease effectsShort Communication: Taurine Long-Term Treatment Prevents the Development of Cardiac Hypertrophy, and Premature Death in Hereditary Cardiomyopathy of the Hamster Is Sex-Independent.
Most Relevant Research
We investigated taurine's impact on heart disease through long-term treatment in hamsters with hereditary cardiomyopathy.
Our study revealed that a 122-day taurine treatment significantly reduced heart hypertrophy and early death in both male and female hamsters.
Interestingly, previous short-term treatments seemed to show a sex difference, but we determined this was due to more severe heart issues in females, not actual sex dependency.
Overall, we recommend long-term taurine therapies to effectively prevent heart remodeling and premature mortality in this condition.
Heart function support
Most Useful Review
The most important amino acid in the body! Taurine is essential for many bodily functions, including the elimination of toxins. It lowers blood pressure, reduces nervous excitability, decreases blood glucose levels, and supports heart health. I recommend a daily dose of 500 to 2000 mg, taken in courses with breaks.
