I'm basically starting over from scratch, again… and I can't really say how well this stuff works considering it's just one of three new things that I started doing at the same time…and only two weeks ago.
I have no way to test the effectiveness of Sweet Sweat, but I think it does help me to sweat more. In addition to Sweet Sweat Coconut and a new (to me) workout plan, I also started wearing a Body Spa neoprene full body sauna suit when I workout.
For anyone interested, I've been reading/listening to “Thinner Leaner Stronger” by Matthew Michaels and following his “One Year Challenge for Women” book. I'm slowly getting into the macro tracking. Since I don't have a gym membership any more (and I'm not interested in getting one) and I don't own the weights that he prescribes in his book, I've been modifying the workouts to kettlebell variations and I'm making it work for me. I own 13 kettlebells ranging in weight from 8 kg to 32 kg, so I am able to lift heavy as the program requires. My cardio sessions are kettlebell swings with a medium-heavy bell for me. Right now I'm doing 200 swings broken down into 15-20 sets of 12-15 swings each done in 1 minute intervals so I'm done in 20 minutes or less. My goal is 600 swings broken down into 30 sets of 20 swings.
For every workout, I apply Sweet Sweat Coconut all over my core, back, upper arms, hips, and thighs. I also wear the Body Spa neoprene sauna suit. Oh yeah! I'm also drinking two shots of espresso before my workouts. I begin sweating almost immediately after putting the Sweet Sweat Coconut on (even before getting the sauna suit on), and I'm drenched in sweat by the end of my workouts. Giant drops of sweat fly off of me and sprinkle the floor (even when I'm not doing a cardio session). It's kind of gross, but I know sweating helps rid the body of toxins and stuff.
I was skeptical about this product, especially after reading the ingredients. I don't understand how a bunch of oils (coconut oil, acai pulp oil, jojoba oil, pomegranate seed oil, olive oil, and aloe vera extract) can cause a thermogenic response in the skin. But, I figure, if it really isn't doing anything, then at least it should be conditioning my skin. However, I do sweat a lot and plan to continue using Sweet Sweat Coconut for as long as I'm able to afford it.
Hopefully I have it right this time and will see solid results by the end of the One Year Challenge. My Week 1 results were promising, and I will continue to do everything I can to maximize my efforts and optimize my results by using Sweet Sweat Coconut, counting macros, and meal prepping
