Improved vials, same great eye drops

I have had dry eyes for years and Systane Ultra is by far my favorite eye drops. I used to take Restasis as well, until the price went up 300 % last year, at which point I could no longer afford it. My solution was to use the Systane Ultra preservative-free drops more frequently (every 3-4 hours). It's not a perfect situation but neither was Restasis. For this particular version of Systane Ultra, the design of the vials changed slightly. The old version was slightly smaller in volume (maybe 0.4-0.5mL), and although it was also re-closable, the closure has VASTLY improved. I used to lose several drops the first time I tried re-closing the old vials, and that problem has been fixed with the redesigned vials. Highly recommend

I Can See Clearly Now!!!

I have moderate to severe dry eye. It recently got to the point that I could not see well at any distance, and was even unable to read! Of course, I went to the eye doctor for a proper diagnosis before I put anything in my eyes. Not only did my eye. doctor tell me about Systane, he actually took me to the shelve to pick out the exact Systane product he wanted me to use, there are many types of Systane drops and gels one can try. Systane is preservative free, many other dry eye products are not. My dry eye situation at the time was so severe, I had to use the drops every hour on the hour. Within two weeks my vision had completely gotten better. Dry eye is a chronic situation for me, but I use the drops daily as needed, as per my eye doctor's advice. The Systane drops brought cooling relief, and completely stopped me from having that dry, gritty feeling, and the vision in my eyes improved, more than I ever thought was possible without needing an expensive prescription. Word to the wise, shop around, Systane prices can vary TREMENDOUSLY depending on where you shop or order them. This also includes Amazon pricing. Excellent drops in convenient form

I have used Systane drops to soothe irritated eyes for a long time (both this Ultra formula and Systane Balance). After my corneas had healed after surgery, I asked my eye doctor if I could resume using Systane. He said to use drops with no preservatives, which my usual drops do have. He said eyedrops in individual ampules are preservative free, but I didn't see them locally, so I searched Amazon. I'm happy to have drops I like and can use, but also to be able to bring one or two ampules in my purse in case my eyes get irritated when out and about. The amount of liquid in each ampule is more than enough to use on both eyes; in fact, I end up using more than I normally would, so they won't go to waste. The cost is lower per dose with the larger bottle, but as long as I must avoid preservatives I am grateful for this product

No Preservatives

I was using the bottled Systane product as my eyes became increasingly gritty and dry, I used them all the more. Then, for the first time in my life I began having problems with eyelash inflammation and sty formations. Alas, as soon as I switched to these drops without the preservative all problems cleared up. The dry eyes, gritty feeling, and infections were all caused by sensitivity to the preservatives

Different than what I've had before.

The product I received was different than im use to. Instead of long slender vial the ones I received were a bit shorter and fatter. At first I thought perhaps it was a product change but the box you'll notice it also shows long slender vials in the upper corner. The drops also seem to be thinner/runnier then my previous experience with this product. They don't seem to satisfy my dryness as well. Going to try a different brand. In my 3rd picture you'll see the difference. 1 of the vials from my previous box (on bottom) is included for comparison

The best

I have been using this for about 2 years since I had LASIK. I think these are the best drops for dry eye. They work very well. These is the only brand that has provided me with lasting relief. I have tried all the other brands and these are the best. I pop the top back on to use up all the drops. You can get 4-7 drops out of each vial. One vial lasts me a couple of days. The only annoying part is that the liquid crusts over. It is annoying to remove the crust from my eyelashes

Excellent product. Prefer the way the .4 ml vials function.

I love this stuff, and will order it again... in the smaller vial size. It's a non-stinging high quality eye lubricant delivered in small packages to prevent contamination of the dose. It's incredibly convenient to carry a couple vials in a purse or set by the bedside. I purchased the .4 ml vials the first time and the .7 ml packages the second time. The .7 ml vials are harder to squeeze because they're thinner, and the "tail" on each vial is much longer and gets in the way. The replaceable nozzle is also harder to put back on the .7 ml vials. So buy the product if you have chronic eye issues because all in all this is a stellar product - just go with the .4 ml vials

WORKS with CONTACT LENSES…. relief lasts about 30 minutes

I use this with my monthly contacts as well as my daily contacts. It does not make my vision blurry or have any bad effect on my contacts. It provides instant relief when my contacts get dried. However, the relief does not last long. It lasts maybe 30 minutes until another drop is needed. The good thing about these is that you can actually connect the twist off cap to the bottom of the vial by pushing both ends together. The twist off cap ends up inserting into the bottom of the vial. That way, you can save the vial for further eye drop needs for the day. Thereafter, you should dispose of it and use another vial the next day if needed. Using these vials does add up in costs. I give it these eye drops a solid 3.5 because the relief does not last long. Hope my review helps

Great For Dry Eyes, and Convenient.

Pros: These drops really help my dry eyes, and are super convenient. I like that there's no preservatives, too. Cons: There's only one con. There's way more fluid in each vial than you need for one application, so you end up wasting a lot of fluid. I use 3 to 4 drops for each eye, and there's still fluid left in the vial. Since the cap twists off, and can't be put back on, there's no way you can save the remaining fluid for another application. Seems like you waste half the product

Great…especially if you live somewhere windy and end up with very dry, gritty eyes

I have dry eyes in general, but now I live on a northern beach that is very windy. My eye dryness worsened from sea air, which has dehydrating effects, and fine sand whipped up by high winds. My eyes hurt and felt positively gritty. These drops have made my eyes so much more comfortable, and even improve the vision in my right eye cased by dryness (as per my ophthalmologist) I definitely use the whole vial, using more drops per eye, but hey, you need to use it after you open it! So I've definitely gotten my money's worth! Tip: don't just drop multiple times on the same spot...move your eyeball to get it in the top of eyeball and the bottom...even side to side. It really gives long lasting moisture to your whole eye and both lids
