Vitron-C Iron Supplement & Immune Support, Once Daily, High Potency Iron with Vitamin C, Dye Free Tablets, 60 Count

Wow dissolved so fast! Not in a good way!!

I don't know where to start. I have been using this product for a while. My Dr. put me on iron pills but those made my stomach hurt. I tried Vitron-C and had none of the side effects the prescription iron pills did. Tried the updated version of the product without dye; they are grey instead of red like the older style. They say the new grey tablets are coated tablets like the older red tablets. I had problems with swallowing the new pills though. It felt like they were dissolving trying to go down my throat. I took pictures of the old style and the new. The grey pills are slightly taller than the older red ones and about the same diameter. I put one of each type of tablets in a Pyrex dish and began to add water. I couldn't pour the water fast enough to even cover the pills when the grey started to dissolve within a second. I quickly picked up the camera and began taking pictures. Within 20 seconds the grey had completely dissolved in the dish. There is no way this is a coated tablet. The old red version took longer to begin to dissolve. You can see in the photos that the grey pill is completely dissolved into particles as the red begins to come apart. I feel like this product is no longer the product for me. If you can get them down without hanging in your throat and not have stomach issues, then maybe these iron supplements are for you. As for me, I'm going to try and find another solution. Please bring back the old style

i had extreme anemia. one bottle of this and i have so much energy!

Try to take it on an empty stomach with a Vitiamin C supplement, as it absorbs better. But within a week or two, i was able to get out of bed and live my life with ENERG

Don't let the new packaging fool you… this is the exact same thing.

I was excited to see the "new" version of these which I have taken regularly for years. I always have concerns about my immune system and decided to order these rather than the regular kind. But, when I sat down and compared the ingredients in both versions, they were identical. The only thing that is changed is the color of the packaging and the emphasis of "immune support." If you are trying to choose either the original or this version, go for the cheapest, because otherwise these are the exact same product

Best iron supplement out of many I've tried.

I've been trying different iron supplements for several years with mixed results - and FINALLY found these! They are the best I've tried! They are fairly easy to swallow, don't dissolve in my mouth, don't taste horrible, do not leave an aftertaste and do NOT cause stomach upset or leave me constipated

Iron Supplement seems to be effective

This brand was recommended to me by my doctor to bring up my hemoglobin levels which have been low because of my vegan diet. I was unable to donate blood because of low iron levels. After taking Vitron-C for a few weeks, I passed the iron testing. Hemoglobin levels have been returned to normal levels. I generally don't have trouble swallowing pills and these are no problem for me. The tablets are normal sized - about the size of a normal round aspirin. They seem to make a little bit of gas immediately after being swallowed, but I don't find this objectionable. I'm happy with this product and plan to stick with it

Buy the orange label!

I got the green label since it arrived quicker, terrible idea. This dissolved in my mouth and tastes awful. The vitron C in orange label bottle doesn't dissolve before you can swallow. It has the same ingredients, and presumably absorbs the same. Good supplement but get the coated version

Great supplement

I am on a medication that robs my system of several vitamins and minerals, so I have to take some supplements to keep my system at healthy levels. I have my iron level tested frequently and it usually runs below the low side of normal for someone my age and size. I have tried multiple brands of iron supplements with varied results. I rarely can keep my iron level within the normal range by taking recommended daily dosages. Having a low iron level really takes a lot of me. I am tired and low energy quite often. I don't know if it is the added Vitamin C that has made the difference, but with Vitron-C High Potency Iron Supplement I have finally managed to raise my iron level high enough to be in the normal range for the first time in years. My test results have shown a noticeable increase for over 4 weeks now, and I am no longer hovering at the low side, but pretty far into the mid range for normal. I have not had this type of successful result with the other supplements, and I have not changed my diet or added any other supplements in the last 3 months. So at this point all the credit goes to Vitron-C. I have more energy and do not feel tired all day long. My overall opinion of Vitron-C High Potency Iron Supplement is overwhelmingly positive. I will definitely be adding this to my subscription list so it is delivered automatically and I do not run out. I told my doctor about this supplement and suggested he check it out to try on other patients that are on the same medications as my. I would also recommend it to anyone who needs a high potency iron supplement. Based on my results this is a great product

Immune-support Marketing

My wife has been using the old orange-box version for a couple years now. They're great if you're low on iron, as long as you can tolerate any gastrointestinal side effects as will vary from person to person. As far as we can tell, this new “immune support” version is just marketing. The ingredients, the doses… identical in every way to the orange-box. There was a time when the pills were red but they stopped putting unnecessary dyes in them a little while back

New package color, same good product

I've been taking these for a while and they help me maintain my iron levels. I like that they got rid of the artificial coloring but it was weird to see the natural gray color at first but I got used to that pretty quick. Any time something changes, it's a bit off putting but I saw that the ingredient and nutrition information was the same so I bought them and am completely satisfied

Gross burps!

So I got these because I am iron deficient and I read a research paper stating Vit C helps iron absorption and Calcium inhibits iron absorption. I love milk…so you can see how this is a problem for me. Anyway, the paper also said that iron is best absorbed while fasting when the stomach is more acidic. So I tried one while fasting (I had breakfast around 10am and took it around 6pm), my burps were soooo foul. I don't want to take it again because those burps almost made me puke. It wasn't that hard to swallow, but they were thick, like 4.5mm thick and I can tell I might have problems with swallowing them in the future
