High-dose zinc alleviates angina
High-dose zinc to terminate angina pectoris: a review and hypothesis for action by ICAM inhibition.
We explored the effects of high-dose zinc treatment on angina pectoris, particularly in patients suffering from severe atherosclerotic disease. This study reviewed existing literature and focused on how zinc might help reduce symptoms associated with this condition.
Zinc plays a crucial role in fighting oxidative stress, which is known to be a key player in arteriosclerosis and subsequent angina. Our observations indicated that when patients were given high doses of zinc sulfate, increasing their serum zinc levels significantly, many experienced notable improvements in their angina symptoms.
In fact, 12 out of 16 patients reported better outcomes after treatment. Moreover, it was found that long-term exposure to zinc in the environment appeared to lower incidences of exertional angina, reinforcing the idea that zinc could be beneficial.
We hypothesize that zinc may help prevent the oxidation of harmful LDL cholesterol, therefore slowing down the atherosclerosis process crucial to angina development. Additionally, zinc's effects may relate to its ability to inhibit inflammatory markers, which are often elevated in older adults.

Vitamin D aids angina management
Vitamin D replacement therapy in patients with cardiac syndrome X.
We set out to investigate how vitamin D affects angina and exercise-induced ischemia in individuals with cardiac syndrome X who have low levels of this important vitamin. In our study, we treated participants with intramuscular injections of vitamin D3, administered every other week for two months, and monitored changes in their angina episodes as well as their exercise capacity.
After completing the treatment, we observed a noticeable rise in serum vitamin D levels among participants, bringing them into the normal range. More importantly, the frequency of angina episodes significantly decreased, indicating a direct correlation between vitamin D levels and angina symptoms. We also noted impressive increases in exercise duration and maximum work capacity, alongside significant improvements in indicators of cardiac stress, such as ST-segment depression.
These findings strongly suggest that vitamin D replacement can dramatically enhance the quality of life for those experiencing angina due to cardiac syndrome X. Our research highlights an often-overlooked solution to managing heart-related symptoms by simply addressing vitamin D deficiency.

I only take it during autumn and winter, and I've noticed a decrease in my angina. There is significant evidence supporting its benefits for the immune system and its ability to synthesise antibacterial peptides. I generally take 3 (5000) capsules weekly in winter, and I prefer Vitamin D3 as it is better absorbed.

Nattokinase has changed my life. For years, I took daily aspirin but still experienced angina when working. After starting nattokinase for another issue, I could work double the time without any angina the very next day. It has replaced aspirin and has been beneficial for the last four years without any side effects.

Nattokinase is widely known for its benefits, particularly post-COVID. It dissolves fibrin responsible for blood clots and doesn't have the side effects of aspirin. I felt relief from a "bursting" sensation in my leg within five days of taking it. I consider it effective for angina and various cardiovascular issues.

Unusual, but it works! I've sought a children's echinacea that truly helps. Upon my sister’s recommendation, I ordered it and haven’t regretted it. My older child often suffers from ARVI and angina. We start taking eight drops three times daily at the first signs; the illness is milder and shorter. The pleasant taste is appealing; I must hide it from my youngest, who enjoyed it so much she drank more than the recommended dose without issue.
