In this study, we administered L. acidophilus orally to infected mice for a week and observed significant reductions in bacterial load and infection severity.

This is my second order for this prebiotic. My husband and I caught covid-19, which led to pneumonia. We took antibiotics alongside this prebiotic. We explored how administering symbiotics, which include Lactobacillus acidophilus, impacts infection rates following colorectal surgery. In a randomized trial with 91 patients, those receiving symbiotics experienced a notable drop in infections compared to the placebo group. Specifically, only 2% of patients on symbiotics developed surgical site infections, whereas 21.4% in the control group did. I felt compelled to leave a review. We ended up in hospital with our child who had pneumonia. After a week on antibiotics, our condition worsened, necessitating further antibiotics. After another ten days, the child's body reacted poorly. The doctor prescribed Acipol, which is standard. Just then, I received these brilliant capsules. Initially, I was hesitant to give a whole one, as my child is only 2. I started with half, and in the morning, the stool started normalising. Probiotics show limited pneumonia benefits
We evaluated the impact of probiotics, specifically Lactobacillus acidophilus and Aktoflor-C, on adolescents with community-acquired pneumonia undergoing antibiotic treatment. In our study involving 38 patients aged 11 to 18, we compared those receiving probiotics alongside standard antibiotics to those receiving antibiotics alone. Results indicated that while probiotics helped manage dysbiosis, they did not significantly improve overall treatment outcomes. This suggests that while probiotics may aid in addressing gut health, their effectiveness in treating pneumonia directly remains limited.
