Took for months without realising the detrimental effects. After researching L-Carnitine's fat-burning properties, I included it in my supplements for 6-8 months. Initially, my results were good, but I felt persistently sluggish, regardless of how much sleep I got. After learning that L-Carnitine adversely affects T3 and T4 thyroid hormones important for alertness, I had blood tests revealing lower-than-normal levels. Upon stopping L-Carnitine, my energy improved. It's been shown to assist with hyperthyroidism but, in my case, caused undesired effects. I cannot recommend these pills.

Only if size doesn't bother
These are okay, but they are absolutely massive! I wouldn’t purchase them again based solely on size. If that doesn’t bother you, go ahead. I take these for Graves' disease and hyperthyroidism. I initially combined them with PTU, and my TSH normalised within two months. However, after stopping, my TSH became abnormal again. I’m hesitant about radioactive iodine treatment, so I’m trying them again along with vegetarian acetyl-L-carnitine. We'll see how it goes.
