If you're like me and you were looking for your first probiotic and thought, hey, this is the best value or I'll get my biggest bang for my buck- if I'm swallowing a billion bacteria, what's an extra 9, watch out! Read More...Years ago my appendix ruptured and ever since I have pretty bad ibs flare ups 2-3 times a year that can last anywhere from 3 days to a month long. I will get bloating and gas so bad it is excruciating to move and or eat anything besides liquid during that time or to just fast. NOTHING doctors have prescribed or suggested has improved. I found TWO things that have pretty much entirely kept it in check for the last year! IBgard peppermint capsules and Align extra strength. My goodness, the peppermint would help de escalate flare ups, calm the painful spasms and the align has made me regular and consistant. Read More...Confused ...this is the extra strength align with a recent name change to the same strain as before ..confused.. Also ...beware. You may have an allergic reaction. I recently experienced a full body tingling itching rash and some unusual diarrhea after taking align extra strength . The pharmacist Looked at the inactive ingredients. One of the inactive ingredients is Microcrystaline cellulose I suspect my allergic reaction maybe from this filler. It says microcrystaline cellulose is wood pulp...which can mean thousands of things from what kind of wood pulp ??? And The extra strength capsule is two times larger than the regular. Read More...I began taking Align several years ago. I developed IBS symptoms as a side effect of a medication. Unfortunately, IBS was the lesser of two evils. My rheumatologist got the recommendation of Align as the first to try, and it helped a lot. I still had breakthrough symptoms and was never really normal. So when I noticed the extra strength version earlier this year, I gave it a try. It's amazing that my bad days now are good days on regular strength. If Align regular strength is working for you most of the time, I recommend checking out extra strength. I have not tried taking something in between using multiple Regular strength. The extra strength capsules are definitely bigger, so if the regular size are your limit, you'd want to avoid the extra strength. I rated excellent value for the money based on the impact to my life. $10/wk is easily worth it to avoid the cramping and mad dashes
Read More...I really like it. I've had chronic bloating for ever and NOTHING has helped. Have seen a million specialist. I am finishing up my first month on these and I can tell a difference! I'm by no means cured nor has my belly went back to normal, but I have notice subtle yet major changes slowly taking over. For example not I don't feel immediately full like a 5 course meal after just taking a bite. I don't have that stretching, tight/bloated so intense. It's still intense, but has taken it down a notch, which has help with my breathing! It's the only thing that's provided the smallest bit of relief and I plan to continue to use in hopes that over time it will get me back to normal

Read More...Mom had Cdiff, and it wouldn't go away. It was horrible. She was given lots of antibiotics, but the infection kept coming back. After taking the align probiotics, the Cdiff went away. The healthy bacteria in the probiotics will crowd out the bad bacteria. So now she takes one every day, nobody wants her to get sick again. Other probiotics did not get the job done, but this brand worked
