No outbreaks. I've used this product, recommended by my doctor, for a year. I take this lysine to prevent genital herpes and have not had an outbreak since. I take two pills daily. Although the pill is large, it has a smooth coating that allows me to swallow it easily with a gulp of water.

Eliminated cold sores

Since I began taking this daily as a prophylactic, I haven't had any cold sores, fever blisters, or herpes zoster type C. I wish I had known about L-Lysine 40 years ago, as it would have saved me much suffering and embarrassment from painful, open cold sores. It’s crucial to note that cold sores can be transmittable before they erupt and can be mistaken for genital herpes, so if you suspect one is imminent, refrain from close contact!
