This has made a real difference
This is from a woman with a history of colon issues from Ulcerative colitis in my 20's and 30's to bouts of constipation and gastric upset that has kept me anxious for years. A year ago I started taking psyllium husk capsules to add fiber to my diet. They didn't really do anything on their own - I was taking 3 capsules twice a day and drinking liters of water. That was all good but it is true that your immune system is really important in your gut. In nursing school, the stress of late nights and exams and clinical practice with really sick people led me to believe that - even more important than the fiber, is the flora in the gut - so I started with probiotics. I started with one that was very highly rated by consumer reports - but it didn't really seem to be consistent. I was taking it with the psyllium capsules and yes, I was "more regular" but it wasn't ideal. I switched to Bio-Kult and dropped the psyllium capsules all together. I take (2) Bio-Kult capsules (on an empty stomach) before I go to bed at night. The next morning within 1 hour of rising - peristalsis takes over and I have met my elimination goals for the day. I think this is great stuff, at least for me. The active culture is more than enough and the ingredients are either benign or active bio-culture. I have no Allergies so I cannot speak to that. I am making another purchase today and wanted to let you know. This is a big thing for lots of us. We spend a lot of time and money trying to eliminate the junk from our diets; we eat Clean - we eat antibiotic and hormone free - we eat organic. Let's keep that GOOD-GUT FLORA BLOOMING. Be well
