Personal Experimentation with SUPER high Dose Vitamin D3
Everyone who takes this should be careful with the dosage. I'm writing this review because I experimented with truly high Vitamin D3 dosage after reading various and various of information regarding on supplementing D3 and its effect. Note: My 25 Hydroxy D level was at 127 ng/dl for a couple of months without any health issues. And I do not advise anyone taking this at high dosage like I did. I suffered greatly from autoimmune disease for a few years and was even on Biologics(humira and remicade both) and small dose of chemo med called methotrexate, and immunosuppressants like 6mp and azathioprine during the last few years.(had crohn's and rhematoid Arthritis) I kept on failing after one drug to another. Nothing working even 80mg of prednisone orally. I had no improvements in my disease with those drugs that I've been pumping into my system including corticosteroids as my flare ups have gotten worse. I decided to change the water that I'm drinking to Evian, and Voss then went on a dangerous journey with Vitamin D3. Anyways, long story short, I was gradually moving up the dosage to more than a MILLION ius a day and up to this point, my symptoms have subsided and the old injuries that weren't quite healed up yet from spraining my ankle, etc started coming out again and healed up nicely. Even my bone formation slightly changed after adding back weight training. I guess Wolff's law really proved its point on my body as I've been taking high dose Vitamin D3. I've always been athletic and was into bodybuilding and adding vitamin D3 to my daily regimen nearly saved my life. If you take 10,000IU or 20,000 a day, YOU WON'T NOTICE ANY CHANGES. I MEANT NOTHING. IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT IT. If you have any organs with lagging functioning level, then you should stay away from taking more than 50,000 IU a day
