Great for Colic and Food Allergies

If you have a baby with colic, has food allergies, or problems passing gas- LOOK NO FURTHER. My daughter had all three issues. This product in conjunction with Alimentum ready to feed saved my sanity and marriage. My daughter at about 4 weeks of age cried or fussed up to 16hrs a day. This was extremely difficult for my husband and myself making sleep a commodity that caused an ongoing war between us. Aftering trying reflux meds without much improvement baby girl was diagnosed with food allergies. It took some testing but we eventually found switching to a corn free formula with reduced milk proteins (Alimentum RTF) brought the crying/fussiness down to about 10-12 hours and stopped the screaming we referred to as "Gates of Hell". This product after only 3 days had reduced crying/fussiness to 6 hours. By the end of the first week, baby girl was passing gas effortlessly and was fussy for 3 hours or less a night. The crying had practically disappeared! If your baby is anything like mine, do yourself a favor- BUY THIS PRODUCT. I had tried 3 other types of probiotics, and countless colic products and remedies. Nothing else seemed to work. (Probably due to corn products being in the other probiotics) This definately did the trick

Most helpful treatment for gas!

My 3mo baby has had issues with gas since birth and I've tried just about everything to help him. Tummy massage techniques, tik-tok baby fart tricks, burping after/during every feed, keeping him upright for 20-30min post-feeding, bicycling legs, changing my diet (removing dairy, no spicy foods, no garlic/onion/broccoli, etc), Mylicon drops and none of them really worked. He would wake up so sad at 3am every day and be in pain for hours. My doc and all my friends said that babies will outgrow these GI issues by 3months as their digestive tracks mature, but it's just so sad to watch. My doc said there's not significant research/studies done on BioGaia to "prove" it works, but that it's worth a shot as a probiotic. I'm not 100% sure if they actually are working or if he's just finally growing out of the gassy phase. But they seem to be the only thing that has made a difference when I included them daily. It does take a while to get it going, so by the start of the 2nd week I saw way more improvement and regularity in his GI. As a side note, I forgot to give them to him for 2 days in a row, and he went back to being Mr. Sad Gassy Tummy. Once I restarted them he had a sad couple days, but is now back on track again. While they seem expensive for the amount you get, you only give them 5 tiny drops at a time. And honestly the price is worth the benefits

A key supplement to managing the bloating and constipation caused by SIBO

I love this stuff! I am not a baby. I don't have a baby. I am a 30-something year old woman with Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), the kind that produces methane and constipation. I have been battling SIBO for several years, and now Lyme Disease as well. I have not yet won my battle, but Lactobacillus reuteri helps me manage the bloating and constipation. I read the results of a study that found that this probiotic actually reduced methane and therefore reduced constipation in individuals who regularly took it. I immediately found this product and purchased it, and it has done for me exactly what the study found. I hope that as long as I have to deal with SIBO, I will be able to purchase this product, because it improves my digestive symptoms greatly. I should mention that I purchased the baby version of this product, because the ingredients work better with my body. Having SIBO, I cannot handle PREbiotics, because they feed my SIBO. The adult version contains isomalt and xylitol, which exacerbate my symptoms

Helped regulate newborn; easy to administer drops

Probiotics were recommended by my lactation consultant when my newborn was 1.5 months old. She was exclusively breastfed, but would only poop once every few days (unlike my other babies who would poop almost after every feed!). Since she went so long in between poops, the amount of poop for her would be really big and create major blowouts. These probiotics really helped her to be more regular right away. What's nice is they come with Vitamin D which she needed daily anyway as well. Also, love the container design because it allows for easy dispensing and counting of drops given. Other Vitamin D supplement containers make it very hard to shake out a drop, but this squeeze tube design is great and the flow is controlled too. On another note, I purchased probiotics for my older kids with this same brand and they don't mind the chewable tablet flavor. I think we are sticking with Biogaia as our preferred brand for probiotics

We bought this specific brand for my 7 week old because it was recommended by the pediatrician. My daughter has reflux and gas issues. I haven't noticed a significant change in her yet, but we've only been using for a little over a week. I find the formula to be easy to dispense. I personally use a plastic baby spoon to feed her the recommeded dose. It's easier than trying to dispense it into her mouth. She doesn't seem to mind the taste, although I think it's probably tasteless. It doesn't have a smell. Overall, I'm happy with this probiotic brand

Life (and sleep) saver in our house!

Our 7 month old has been having bad issues with gas & colic, so after speaking to our pediatrician I ordered these probiotic drops, with vitamin d added. The added vitamin d was a bonus because our pediatrician had also recommended she get that supplement however the one sold at our local store was a huge dose & after she spit it up at me for a week I had stopped giving our old type to her. This one is great because it's just 5 drops for a dose, I can lightly squeeze her cheeks to get her to open her mouth & it's done in 5 seconds. The probiotic have done wonders for her, instead of spending hours consoling her as she passes wind & trying to get her to be comfortable enough to go to sleep now I just feed her & she drifts off to sleep in my arms, so much more enjoyable than the tears & grimaces she was giving us because she was miserable. I would highly recommend these drops to any parent who wants to add a probiotic and vitamin d to their baby's diet
