Head and Neck Cancer Saliva Substitute

My husband uses this glutamine for a different reason than weight training. He had Stage 4, advanced, metastatic head and neck cancer. After his treatment, I researched glutamine, and found out it was a healing agent. I mix, 2 heaping tablespoons glutamine, 1 level teaspoon salt, and 1 level tablespoon of baking soda in 32 ounces of water. Since his mouth is chronically sore from the portion that was removed from his cheek, this soothes that and he swears by it as a saliva substitute, since he has very little saliva as a result of radiation. I have passed this on to both the University of MN Clinic and Hospital, and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for use with their head and neck cancer patients. They report great results. He had tried everything from prescription and OTC saliva substitutes. This works the best of anything. BTW, he had no risk factors for this cancer, and is now just past his 4th anniversary cancer free

Good quality, Great Price.

Glutamine is really good for you. I use it because I weight train and that is a killer on your body. Glutamine helps your body release HGH (Human Growth Hormone). HGH helps to burn body fat and increase the size of your muscles. It also helps your body support your muscles (rather than breaking them down). It is also supposed to help keep your GI tract working properly. This Glutamine is great. There is no taste or smell. You can mix it into anything without messing up the taste. Just be careful not to heat it up since glutamine shouldn't be heated. I mix this into my pre & post workout shakes. Also I mix it in my before bed shake. The price is one of the best out there and so far it works just like all the other ones I have tried. Star Rating: When I do a review I always start out with 5 stars â˜...â˜...â˜...â˜...â˜.... Then if there is something wrong I will deduct one star and explain why. This way I'm not just arbitrarily picking a number. I think this works properly and the price is good. 5 stars. Must have for leaky gut

I have leaky gut or increased intestinal permeability. This causes an array of issues, autoimmune disorders, cfs, osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism, hoshimotos disease, etc. Also severe food allergies, especially gluten. No GI distress, flu like symptoms, joint aches, can't stay awake for 3 days minimum. Using this daily helps seal the gut lining. I have less fatigue, less pain, brain fog, etc. I can't live without this

I compared them ALL: This one is the best price for the same ingredients and quality. Dissolves entirely, no taste, and I was hesitant about whether taking glutamine supplements actually made a difference, and I can assure you it absolutely does. Had stopped working out for a few years, and I expected a lot of soreness when I picked up the weights again. For the first time in my life, nothing! No pain, no soreness, no achy muscles that always gave me an excuse to put off the workouts. This is the real deal

Good for the stomach

I mix this powder in my tea before I eat anything. When I drink it, it is so soothing to my stomach. I bought it in the hopes of maybe healing a leaky gut or whatever gastrointestinal issues I have been having. I do find it very helpful. I recommend it to anyone with stomach issues or leaky gut. I also give a little bit to my cat to help with his stomach issues and I think it helps him too. Also some people might experience incrreased anxiety after using glutamine but I have not experienced that at all. This is a good product. Will purchase again

Weight loss secret weapon!

Glutamine is such a great supplement. Yes, it helps with your muscles a bunch, but what I truly value it for is assisting me with weight loss. Glutamine stops your cravings for carbs and sugar. If you're counting calories and get hunger pains between meals take a teaspoon of this stuff and you'll not only feel slightly euphoric but you'll stop day dreaming about food. It's very versatile too. It barely has a discernible taste. I like to add it to smoothies, yogurt, juice, or in a pinch just a bit of water. Body Fortress Glutamine is the best value I have been able to find. I used to be able to buy it at Walmart until they stopped carrying it. I'm so happy to have found it again on Amazon

We use L-Glutamine in our daily supplement routine for both us and our kids. My son has GI issues, and this is great for coating and being healing for the gut. We give him 250 2x a day of this powder in his bottle and he has seen a decrease in GI discomfort and issues since starting him on it. While this specific formula of L-Glutamine is marketed to Body builders/ weight lifters, but L-Glutamine is beneficial in other ways as well and I love that this was MUCH cheaper than the tabs or capsules. I do wish that it wasn't an add on item but all in all the product is fantastic

Got the cheapest Glutamine I could find to add to my supplement stack. Given its just one ingredient, didn't think I needed an expensive version. BF Glutamine Powder mixes well in water and in green tea and is pretty much tasteless. I combine this powder w/ ON's BCAA unflavored powder either in water or green tea. Neither of these mixes taste particularly good but it goes down well enough pre- workout, and/ or during a workout. This Glutamine/ BCAA/ Green Tea mix stands in well for pricey pre- work out drinks that are just flavored BCAA/ Glutamine concoctions with caffeine. Packaging: like most supplement packaging, the container arrived half empty. I don't feel I over paid b.c of missing product, but I do feel there is a lot of waste in having a plastic jar be twice the volume of the actual product. Body Fortress and Optimum Nutrition are guilty of this. Still, glad I bought this and will continue to use it in my supplement stack

I'm a believer

I've been body building for 3 years now and fell victim to supplement craze (protein/bcaa/creatine/glutamine/etc..) and when I realized how much I was spending, I needed to figure out what was working and what wasnt working. After I finished all my supplements, I started to purchase only one supplement at a time, going through my list to see which supplement in my protein shake gave me the best recovery after my workouts. The winner is: Glutamine! Out of all the products tested, I felt less sore using this compared to the other stuff
