It doesn't taste like hot garbage!

Let me preface by saying that this is Luis' wife writing this review, and go from there. He embraces that dad bod, and I am good with it. I'm embracing my gainz, and sometimes that involves supplementing with protein powder. Most powders on the market have a nasty grody texture and nasty hot garbage taste. I wouldn't call myself a professional protein powder waster, but I can definitely say that I don't have the courage to down the nasty shakes, so I've come back to my old trusty, Syntha 6. I'm generally an original formula chocolate peanut butter girl, but this edge formula has slightly better macros, and I thought what the heck. Let's do it! When I got it, I made a shake immediately. Just almond milk and one scoop, in a shaker cup with no ball. The shake came out smooth and delicious. Since then (two days) I've put it in protein muffins, and I've also made some proats out of it with an apple, oats and Greek yogurt. The best thing ever. If your inner fat kid cries when you drink ordinary whey protein powder, then this might just be your new jam. ðŸ˜

Better macros but at a price

As an religious consumer of Syntha 6, I wanted to give Syntha 6 edge a try. While there is less calories per serving because of less fat and carbs, the taste indeed suffers. I will continue to use this until it's gone but the regular syntha 6 tastes exponentially better I promise you. Many don't like the higher fat % of the regular Syntha 6 however, if you add 2 oz of egg whites out of the carton to 6oz of water, it will increase the macros of protein vs fat and carbs (and egg whites are totally tasteless). That is what I am going back to after I run out of Edge. I lost 50 pounds using the regular Syntha 6 in my regime. Probably should have stuck with what worked the first time. I used to crave the good taste. Now with Edge, I am having to choke it down each day and constantly looking at how much more of the tub I have until I can switch back.... By the way, I have the Chocolate Milkshake

I swear this is just powdered cinnamon buns.

I've been using Syntha-6 products for a while now, and I think they are the best protein blend on the market currently. I saw this flavor, "Cinnamon Bun" and had to try it. If you close your eyes, you would swear that you are eating a cinnamon bun. The flavor is DEAD ON. I might need to order the 10 pound bag, because I am seriously considering drinking some at night before bed as well as just after my work out. I stacked some flavorless creatine with this powder, and I could not tell the creatine was in there. The lovely cinnamon bun flavor masked it perfectly. This also plays well with vanilla greek yogurt. The chocolate flavors of Syntha-6 are pretty OK, but they always taste a little malty and fake to me. The 28 serving size was perfect as a test run of this flavor. Seeing as this is Syntha-6 EDGE, what makes it edgy? Well, it's this: 2 extra grams of protein per serving, 1 extra gram of essential amino acids per serving, and 50 fewer calories per serving, half the fat of regular Syntha-6, fewer carbs, less sodium. Think of it as the elite version of regular Syntha-6

SYNTHA-6 vs COMBAT PRO (Vanilla)

My personal opinions: They both taste very well and are not over powering in flavor. I always get vanilla because I don't like too sweet of a taste. This also allows me to add any flavor I want. I add a serving of yogurt to the one scoop of protein in a regular shaker bottle and they both mix very well. I use water and not milk. I like them both. I have attached photos so you can compare and assist in your purchasing decisions. I hope this review helps

Been taking protein for the last 20 years and this is by far the best protein I have used. Best tasting (peanut butter cookie) Best mixing (no lumping) Best absorbing (no “runs”) Best profile (ingredients) Monday - Friday I drink 5 scoops a day and since I have I have never been stronger and performed as well in the gym. This is much more important than any creatine or pre workout you can take. Save your money and buy this and take it religiously and you'll see Results over night

I never thought I'd be drinking protein shakes, but here we are… and this one's good!

Full disclosure: I've never had a protein shake before purchasing this. I'm in the process of losing weight mostly through Intermittent Fasting, and with the heat of the summer upon us I'm less and less interested in eating full meals. I had done some research (okay, WAY too much research) and decided to purchase this based on ingredients, calories, macro nutrients and most importantly taste. Let's start with how surprised I was at the size of this bottle. It's fairly small sized (portion wise) compared to others from this brand so I thought I'd be getting a small bottle. hahahaha... it's about a foot tall. Ooookay, guess I'll be clearing some space to store it. I immediately opened it upon arrival and smelled it, half expecting to find that everyone online who's bought this and loved it has never actually had a chocolate milkshake in their life and was dead wrong about the flavor. I was completely wrong. It smelled like a powdered chocolate milk mix and not chemically or odd at all. Later in the day I mixed a cup of whole milk (I was using the rest of it before opening the almond milk, don't crucify me) and some ice cubes with a scoop of this (after unburying the scoop. pro tip: use a large kitchen spoon to dig around in there until you find it!) in a blender bottle (with no blender ball because I'm an idiot and bought the wrong one). Color me impressed. No chunks of powder, and it tasted GOOD. Not quite like a chocolate milkshake, but close enough that it satisfied a sweet tooth craving on another day. I'll definitely be repurchasing this when it runs out

Surprisingly tasty

I've been drinking a glass of Syntha-6 daily for four months now. It's the only protein drink I've ever used, so I can't say how it compares to others. But I was surprised at how good it tastes -- I was expecting the worst. It's hard to recommend a flavor, since so much depends on what you mix it with, how much liquid you use, etc. I did a scoop of Syntha-6 with enough 2% milk to reach the 200 ml mark on my beaker, so a pretty rich mix. The flavors I tried , in order of preference: * Strawberry -- the clear favorite, very refreshing, especially when mixed with frozen berries that have been simmered for a while on the stove, or my wife's strawberry yogurt * Vanilla -- definite vanilla taste, but otherwise a good neutral flavor, so can be used with a variety of fruits/yogurts * Cinnamon Bun -- pleasant, but sort of like drinking liquid cake; worried it might get tired after a while * Chocolate -- tastes like what you get in those little chocolate milk cartons in the supermarket. If you like that, you'll like this. I don't, so I didn't. Won't be getting it again. Not sure any of the other flavors would appeal to me, so I'll be sticking with the first three

Flavors Review

Hard for me to say anything about the actual efficacy of the protein as far as building muscle.. i'm tall and have a naturally skinny build. I definitely notice muscle build to some extent, but hard to say it's any better or worse than any other protein. But I like the brand, and the ingredient mix so I wanted this protein but I also know I like reviews on flavor before I buy, so - hope this helps someone out.. TLDR; "Chocolate Cake Batter" is your winner here. Vanilla Milkshake - the more I drink it the more I like it! Good frothy texture & great taste. Flavor: 8 of 10 Mixability: 10 of 10, rarely have residue on the inside of my shaker cup Cookies & Cream - meh, nothing special, not awful, but have def had better cookies & cream whey. Texture is thin and slimy, and flavor is just not there.. it's more a "Cardboard & Cream" to me. Flavor: 5 of 10 Mixability: 7 of 10, have had better, have had much worse, but does not easily mix with spoon or fork even in water, must use a shaker cup and will leave some clumped residue on sides of your cup Chocolate Cake Batter - probably the best whey shake I've ever had. Great frothy texture, and it literally tastes exactly like drinking cake batter out of a dish. Less water / milk makes it super thick & enjoyable.. it will leave alot of clumped residue, but boy howdy is it delicious. Flavor: 10 of 10 Mixability: 6 of 10, will leave some residue to clean out on the inside of your shaker cup, and will not mix with spoon or fork, but trade off for flavor is absolutely there

It's like a light version of a chocolate milkshake!!

Ok so first and foremost, I am an avid chocolate lover. I mean wake up in the morning with a thirst like a vampire for blood... except chocolate. So anyways I was looking for something that could work as both a meal replacement and a workout supplement and this powder seemed to fit the bill. (Yes I am aware that it's use is not advertised as a meal replacement.) But for me personally, it had to do two things. Have some decent protein and a bit of fiber and not taste horrible. This fits both! The taste was the main thing for me because I knew from previous experience if it doesn't taste good I'm not going to force myself to drink it. But this actually tastes good... I was surprised. I got the chocolate milkshake flavor (obviously) and I mixed it in s blender with some ice cubes and unsweetened almond milk and dude. It's literally so creamy. How do they do that??? You know how Slimfast chocolate mix tastes? THIS is as far away from that as you can get while still being chocolate. It's awesome. With the milk I use it's definitely not all that sweet but if you were to use whole milk or perhaps sweetened milk then im sure it would be good too. I'm just not the kind of girl that can mix chocolate mix with water, sorry. That's a felony in my book. But anyway I really love this stuff already so in conclusion, I'd say it's worth the money for sure

GOOD BUT SKETCHY LABEL CHANGES…

IVE BEEN USING THIS FOR AS LONG AS ITS BEE OUT BUT THE LABEL INFO INCONSISTENCY HAS ME LOSING TRUST, DO I HAVE TO GET EVERYTHING ANALYZED MYSELF NOWADAYS!!!??? HOW EXACTLY CAN NET WT GO FROM 4.02 LB TO 3.86 LB AND SER. SIZE GO FROM 38g TO 36g YET STILL GET 48 SER. PER CONTAINER(THAT MATH IS ~ ACCURATE) BUT, BUT!, STILL WITH 24g OF PROTEIN?...DID THEY MAKE MAGICAL PROTEIN GAINS SOMEHOW 'CUZ THE SERVING SIZE IS SMALLER BUT PROTEIN CONTENT IS THE SAME?! ...BTW THE ACTUAL SCOOP IS 10.6g AND FILLED PERFECTLY LEVEL IT IS 45.6g. SO SERVING SIZE (POWDER) IS 35g PER 'LEVEL' SCOOP, GIVE OR TAKE .1 OR .2 GRAMS. THEREFORE LABEL IS OFF BY ~1 GRAM, NOT EXACTLY PERFECT LABEL INFO
