I typically have a shake for breakfast and always used BSN Syntha-6. When it was time to replace my canister, I saw the Isolate option and WOW! I am really impressed with the nutrition. I was concerned the Vanilla Ice Cream Isolate option wouldn't be as good since it had fewer sugars and more protein than my usual Vanilla Ice Cream Syntha-6. The taste is good. My friends that I've generously shared my stash with think it's great. The only real difference for me is the Isolate is much frothier. That may just be a weird issue of mine. I think it's great and I'm definitely going to purchase it again

Delicious, mixes easily, a solid choice

One of my favorite proteins of all time - and I've tried many. Having tried all three flavors, this vanilla is one of the better vanilla flavored protein powders. The chocolate is also good (but Optimum Nutrition also does a great job with chocolate flavors). The strawberry is okay if you like that artificial strawberry milk flavor. All three are very soluble, but I find the vanilla and strawberry much easier to mix with milk than the chocolate. All three dissolve very readily in water. Results are difficult to measure, of course. There are protein options out there that deliver similar or more protein per calorie. However, so long as you're not cutting, and you're still watching your macros, this is a great product

This is the perfect protein powder

I've never been very interested in protein powders. I tried a brand several years ago, and I didn't like it. It didn't taste good at all, and it wasn't very substantial or filling. However, a little over six months ago I ramped up my excursions to the gym while lessening my caloric intake and decided that I needed some type of supplement to maintain my muscle mass and energy without too many calories. I researched protein powders for a handful of days and decided to try Syntha-6 Isolate, and it did not dissapoint. It lived up to its hype completely. It tastes excellent--so good in fact, that you could use it as a healthy dessert. And of course, it is packed with protein while boasting only 140 calories due to its isolate nature. And lastly, it is also a 50/50 split between whey and casein protein which allows it to have both quick and slow absorption, respectively. This, in turn, makes Syntha-6 Isolate an effective pre- and post-workout protein shake. Your protein needs start and end right here

This is by far my favorite protein powder. I was a longtime user of ON, but then was recommended regular syntha-6 by a friend of mine. I tried it and while it was easily the best tasting protein shake I've ever had, the macros left something to be desired. This definitely strikes the perfect balance between macros and flavor

Great Lean Alternative To The Regular Formula

I've used the regular Syntha-6 blend for a while and my wife wanted to start using the same protein powder. I was glad to find this isolate version which is much leaner than the regular powder. Plus, summer is a great time to switch to this if you'd like to cut some cushion. Still has a great taste (almost sweeter maybe, hard to tell), consistency is still nice and thick like a shake, and the stuff just works! I always seem to rotate back to Syntha-6

Great Product. Bad Flavor

The title of this review says it all. I love this product but for some reason the strawberry flavor tastes similar to Pepto Bismol. The chocolate and vanilla are fantastic so I think I'll stick to those two or maybe try one of the others in the future. But strawberry won't happen again. Now I just have to make my way through the rest of this container. It's not horrible, just Pepto Bismol

Tolerable, but not a fan of the reformulation

Pros: reasonable cost, good amount of protein, decent flavor Cons: texture is far worse than it used to be, you now get less material/dollar so the container came < 2/3 full This stuff used to be great, but they reformulated and, while it does maintain good protein content, the texture is now very grainy, tastes worse, and mixes worse than the previous formulation. I will be looking for alternatives at this point

Great! But not as good as other products

For the amount you receive the price is more than reasonable. Compared to other products out there, the taste is fair and the calorie, sodium, and fat count is low. The fast and slow digesting protein is a plus. However, I would reconsider purchasing this product if you have any gastral reactions towards dairy because it says that half of the protein is from whey and the other is dairy. I would rate the taste to 7/10. Be sure to mix well because it can get clumpy. All in all, this is a solid brand. However, I won't be purchasing this again because at GNC I came across ISO100 and in my personal opinion its better for me because it has fewer calories, lower sodium, less fat, only whey, tastes better, and dissolves more quickly and efficiently and it fits better with my specific needs and wants in a protein source. Again, this is my personal opinion. Syntha-6 is still a good product if you want to save some money and still have a solid source of protein to support your gains

Nice, lean protein

I'm a fairly novice weightlifter and am trying to get back into it. I'm also on a pretty strict diet and was looking for a great-tasting, low calorie (as low as you could expect at least), protein. This fits the bill nicely. I drink it with water, so it goes down easier. It's not something I necessarily love drinking, but it really isn't bad, especially compared to others I've had. I've seen good results taking two scoops after every workout. And at only 150 calories per serving, you can't beat it if you're looking for something lean. I'm running a fairly large calorie deficit (700-900 calories per day), and lifting to try and keep as much muscle as possible. This is a good low-calorie protein

If you love syntha 6 but not the profile

I've been using Syntha 6 for quite some time (almost a year) doing P90X and honestly it's only thing I tried that I could stand. In fact, I looked forward to my shakes. The only downside to regular Syntha is the extra fat and carbs that I didn't need. I worked my diet around them, but finally decided to give Isolate a try as I'm trying to lean down still (being female and not trying to bulk up) and every calorie counts. I got chocolate milkshake and while not quite as good as regular Syntha, I find the flavor still is better than most proteins. The texture is a bit weird...with 4 oz of water, it was close to grainy watered down pudding. I didn't mind it though but some might like a bit more liquid. I don't find it artificial sweetener tasting like some reviews mentioned, but perhaps they haven't tried some other proteins (Combat Powder!) that are nauseatingly sweet. All in all, I'm thrilled and will definitely be buying in the future
